How do you soon the club head? Isn't that important?

In experimenting with Callaway TruVis, I’ve found the “Green” version doesn’t work well with my SkyTrak. I think the camera is confused by the green markings and green turf. The other colour TruVis seem fine. 😊

Planning out on my sim room project and learned a lot, thanks Greg! Would you say optical launch monitor performs better than radar based ones at same price level for indoor sim room set up?
@GregsGolfShack7 күн бұрын
Thanks! Yes, in my opinion, I think optical can be a little more reliable when it comes to reading the ball data, specifically spin. Radar can often require a bit more space to read the ball and don’t often read spin. The benefit with radar is that is it less affected by lighting and can be a little more dependable if using outdoor, but setting our lighting for best results from optical systems is pretty easy (and for many systems it isn’t an issue). Most optical units can benefit from reading the logo that is on the ball. My advice with optical, is choose one that doesn’t require their own specifically marked ball and can produce results using any ball of your choice. There is a little more about optical vs radar and ball considerations in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWqbdmhqprydoaMsi=BLrbgc1eU26JUri6

I’m 5’9” and halfway through last year I got a “new” set of pxg irons that were an inch longer than standard. WOW it made it impossible to hit them consistently. 4-6 went the same distance. 7-9 were stupid short. Pw/sw both felt nasty. Went back to my 35 yo ping knockoffs for the rest of the year. Finally got them cut down and I’m excited to get out.

I noticed my right foot and I'm right-handed. I drag it a bit after I transferred. I Ve never really felt it to an issue. It looks a bit odd interestingly. Some of the best golfers on the planet right now. I don't have great looking footwork. But their contact zone where they hit the ball is perfect.

Congrats on the podcast 👏 it was nice to hear your back story & golf journey 🏌🏽♀️ I’m with you on joining a league… especially a ladies league; there is more emphasis on fun & community. There are always going to be people who are more competitive than you are , just as there are always going to be golfers who play at a higher level than you. One of my mantras has been you’re only really playing against yourself; not necessarily trying to get a better score. It could be getting more comfortable using your wedges, or making good contact with the ball or not losing as many balls in the water as you did last time you played.😂 I look forward to your next podcast 🏌🏽♀️🏌🏽♀️🏌🏽♀️⛳️⛳️

I'm about your height (just under 6'2"), do you have extensions on your clubs? and by how much? I noticed that my irons seem to be short for me so I am thinking about getting a new set of clubs. Just bought the Ai Smoke driver at standard length and was told that is fine for my height.
@GregsGolfShackАй бұрын
It can be uniquely different for our setup position over the ball, but, at 6’1” I wanted to feel a little more upright and less bent over as the clubs get shorter. My irons and wedges are +1/2” longer. My Hybrid and Woods are +1/4” longer, and my Driver is standard length. It seems to work for me. I always order my clubs a little longer since it is easier to cut them down than it is to lengthen them.
