An apparent simplicity that hides a real depth : it's deep, it's spiritual, it's truly beautiful.

This is literally the most beautiful performance of this piece I've ever heard! Both soul wrenching and sublime, the choir's ability to remain in control of the very live acoustics in that space is clear and stunning. Congratulations to you all!!!

I first sang this as a member of the Chapel Choir of Royal Holloway College in the 1980s under Dr Lionel Pike as director. I loved it so much that I sang it, with my then choir, at my own wedding. Thank you for my happy memories.

I used to sing with Jim Erb many long years ago. He was the most generous man who loved to give away music. He was a great teacher. He was a great musician. He was a great man. Thank you for your performance. It brought tears to my eyes.

Lovely singing as always , I'm glad to see that the influence of Dr. Pike is still with you, the Peter Philips was a particular joy. I enjoyed singing his music with Lionel in my time 50 years ago .

Thank you for your loyalty to French music ! Too many French people themselves are unaware of this delicate and spiritual heritage !

Not just impeccable musicianship in all respects, but the organ playing and the video work - all of it! Outstanding and enriching for this Yank so far away! Thank you!

this is beautiful music, beautifully sung, that nobody can hear properly. We werent there, and so recording the audio at a decently strong level is of prime importance, for any to get an emotional response to it via youtube.

Very nice to hear those fine young voices. Wish I had such good training many years ago. I have only one suggestion, the director I couldn't hear him on this broadcast, so I missed the discription of the pieces sung.

Lovely singing Chapel Choir. I remember singing the tenor solos in the Mass in G minor in the chapel in (I think) 1973 the year before I graduated ! Great memories of singing under Dr. Lionel Pike.

More than any other recording AND video, THIS to me is perfection. What most people do not realize is that THESE WORDS, embody not only the presentation of Christ to the world then and up to now, these Words, foretell the extremely soon RAPTURE and condition thereof that is to take place. LOOK UP CHILDREN OF LIGHT, TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOUR SALVATION IS AT HAND! REJOICE AND SING FOR JOY, THE BRIDEGROOM COMES AND EVEN NOW IS AT HAND! THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ARISES!

Amazing - what purity. So *horrified* by Parry's. Purcell has real genius, that understated sense of inverse modulation and the way that speed is conveyed by slowness and vice-versa - !
