So if you were cheap could you splice the 2 heater control wires and run off of one driver? I’m surprised you didn’t put a signal generator on the line to verify the trims would come back down just to see before you put the pcm in.

I just changed the bottom oil sensor and still having the same symptoms. I just ordered the top oil pressure switch hope it fixes the issue. 🤞

Man you ripper this guy off. It should have taken max 4 hrs done. This has been a know issue for last 15 years . Easy fix and just need to remove mepem.

Does this cause loss of spark? Just picked one of these up yesterday for $400 (similar story, allegedly sat for 10 years before I bought it) lights and everything comes one and has good spark to both spark plugs but I can only get it to turn over by jumping the solenoid (still haven’t got it started, haven’t even put gas in it yet) the handlebar control seems to not do anything and seems like none of the buttons work. None of the fuses are blown and has good spark, should I replace the handle bar controls or could the MPEM be the issue?

Remember E39's having some interesting problems like radio not turning on and brake lights on all the time cause of faulty steering wheel buttons. I'd imagine E60 chassis having more bus lines it being even more interesting to find these gremlins :)
