@David.ksuperbee two 70 coronets, one is a 500 with a 440,i was in the process of making a superbee clone. Was almost done but I had my neck fused and never finished it, the other is a 440 with 318 auto, good floor can't remember the trunk, lower quarters gone. 69 coronet 440 with original 383 automatic, good driver. 68 coronet R/T that was turned into a drag car early in life judging by the mint metal. New Built 440, hi-rise two 4's,msd, new 727, dana 60, roll cage,custom aluminum door panels and dash,battery and pony barrel in trunk. 70 charger 318 rusted but complete, 69 polara wagon 383 automatic, bought it for parts but it is complete. Three 64 valiants, one runs. Have clean titles for all except the wagon

I just sold mine 70 Super Bee. Didn't want to but I'm moving and unfortunately I will know live a a 2.5 mile dirt road. And didn’t want her to become a garage queen. Non numbers matching. But it was hemi orange with the white C stripes on rear quarter panels. It's an original Super Bee. Trans and motor have been rebuilt. 4-speed. Ram charger hood with a 440 block bored and stroked to a 493 c.i. Between 550 and 600 horses. A guy in Quilan, Tx bought it. I hope he's enjoying it. 👍

Out of all my muscle cars over the years, it's the one I have the fondest memories of. It was only 12yrs old when I got it in 82! I like the one you have here. It's to bad, there's no way I could afford it. At least I have the memory. Oh, and I was first!

Superbird had no cut-outs for the vents they were a novelty item. However on a real Nascar they could have been open. Definitely not for wheel clearance just areo.

@David.ksuperbee2 ай бұрын
Maybe I havnt considered that since I don't have that problem yet.
@ryanforster39092 ай бұрын
Well from all the reading some say brakes most say venting out pressure from wheel. So both I suppose🤔. Either way double positive.

Build a duct from the fenders to the side of frame, that’s how a lot of race systems get their cooling effect

Should be adding ducting this winter
@Yo-nc7uu2 ай бұрын
Dude, how does pressure build up in the fenders?
@David.ksuperbee2 ай бұрын
It's the way air move under the car. Also I have air going in past the head lights to the coolers behind it through the fender.

I think he's worried about his car turning into a plane
@DaftknightLP2 ай бұрын
@@David.ksuperbee could you not add something to the front lip to create downforce, and stop air going into those places, do you not have fender liners? Id more likely want to stop the air from getting in there in the first place, I get what you mean by adding vents in the fenders, but I think at best all that's going to do is help cool your brakes, it looks like it's a drag car though so I don't think you're going to be using those much, but hey don't listen to me I've never done anything like this to a car, i have a very limited knowledge on aerodynamics as it pertains to a car so these are just my thoughts?
@David.ksuperbee2 ай бұрын
@DaftknightLP yes but I still have air coming into the headlight area. Going through the holes in the fender to access the coolers inside the fender.
@DaftknightLP2 ай бұрын
@@David.ksuperbee the only real thing I can think of is trying to create some sort of skid pan on the bottom that blocks air from coming in underneath, and then using delrin or sheet metal or something to try and create an air path, but I really think that you need some fender liners, to block the air coming through from the front to stop it from, and honestly my other suggestion is Vents if you're really trying to stop air pressure from building up in your wheel wells, a combination of these three things should help, and it might destroy the look of the car but you could try adding some sort of front splitters/ deflectors to the front to push the air away from the fenders, I hope my basic bitch answer is some what helpful, good luck on the car 😊
@johnbuckner22002 ай бұрын
Back then cars were drag racing, you would drive to the race change to your drag slicks race then change back to your street tires and drive home!!!
@johnbuckner22002 ай бұрын
The air you are getting is coming in from under the car, not the fender wells you have a interior leak,not from a high pressure build up in your fenders not unless you cruise around at 100 to 200 mph!!! And by the way if you ever want to restore your fenders to stock how easy will you be able to find replacements for any reason!!! Seal up your interior!!! A full body pan is possible but make sure it creates a Venturi effect under the car so you can have down force at speed, negative pressure in the cabin… find the leak and silicone it shut, it is the least expensive fix!!! But if you want to look like a four year old’s dream car go right ahead with the fender vents.also do you have inner fenders?
@David.ksuperbee19 күн бұрын
Yeah still factory inner fenders that are part of the uni body. How ever it's getting a lot of modifications this winter
@johnbuckner22002 ай бұрын
If you want to vent that air pressure channel it into your engine! Make a mild ram air intake though a cold box, and keep the lines of your car original!!!
@David.ksuperbee2 ай бұрын
But with the coolers in the fender wouldn't that be pushing warm air into the engine. Less power that way though right?
