A strong message pastor, that places the sign of this healing firmly in the context of John's gospel. On behalf of those at home, thank you for this sermon! Jesus' question to the man by the pool here ("Do you want to get well?") has always reminded me of his question to blind Bartimaeus in Mark's gospel: "What do you want me to do for you?". In both cases, though it would seem the answer is apparent and Jesus knows their hearts, Jesus' invites people to personally respond and vocalize their answer.

Thanks for the insightful comment. You really hit the nail on the head. Jesus knows our hearts and wants them to be transformed. What a loving and caring Savior we have!
