Don't the ocean vans have two batteries? Does it automatically charge both when only connected to just one battery via cable?

Do you still have these on your board? What are they like when surfing in boots? Thanks
@SurfandStuff14 ай бұрын
Yes, still have them on the board and work fine with boots. 😊 TBH i forget they’re even there now!

Hey man, I've also got a timbertek and a load of van der waal waiting to fit. How did you prep the board surface? What did you use to get rid of all the wax residue?
@SurfandStuff14 ай бұрын
I used white spirit - worked a treat. 😊

THANK YOU to the Goofie Foot at 46 seconds for being the first and only person I've seen at this spot ripping/turning. Looks so fun there. Need more clips!!!
Hi, my instructions started with connecting the solar panel and then the leisure battery. Once that had been done, checked and worked. It says disconnect the charger from the solar panel and then route wire and connect to relay for starter battery. It also says disconnect the battery as you could earth the connection and blow the relay. I’m not an expert but I don’t think it is live.
@Richkimbo10 ай бұрын
Isn't there a specific order of connection for the two batteries and the solar panel ?, instructions say first the van starter battery, second the leisure batteries and third the solar array or you might just fry the controller . Also, why disconnect van battery?, that terminal you connect to under the seat is still live with the van battery disconnected, at least it was on my t6.1.

Hello, very good work, could you put the link to purchase the plate and accessories please? thanks greetings
Do you know if this permits adding items to the car like cruise control?

Genius!! If I buy a flexi solar panel, how can I buy the metal rails that yours is sitting on, what would they be called? Also wondering what you'd suggest for running the cable into boot for a non pop-top. And finally, do I need to get some specific rubber roof rail gutter guide things? And finally what are the bolts you are using that fit into the roof rail gutter? Thank you :)
@SurfandStuff1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, the rails come as standard on California so no idea about buying rails - sorry. Also, I guess you run the cable through the same way as I have in the video.

Hi, so it cost me £25 and I bought it from Amazon. You can probably get it on eBay here and they will ship internationally.

Hi, where did you get this for £100 for 120 pieces? Assume you got the longboard + shortboard set (90+30)? From their site, it's about €166 which works out to around £146. Just wondering if it's cheaper via a different retailer
@SurfandStuff1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I bought these straight from Van da Waal in Portugal and I think they had a special offer on which was 90 + 20 free for £100 with free postage. In the box there were extras like 122 overall. I know prices have gone since 😢

Just had a first surf..... Was slipping off all the session, hope it gets better
@SurfandStuff12 жыл бұрын
It should get better!. I honestly forget about it most of the time. It's not a sticky as wax and that's the compromise for not having to wax your board every session. My main issues with slipping are the rails for duck diving and getting up on steep drops when the wave is breaking over the board. Overall, I'm still happy with them and it's 5 months now.

Nice, looks very similar to the Carbon Jet which was modeled on the Wombat. I got the 6'10", still messing around with fin combos to suit the right conditions. Closeout 2' beach breaks suck for trying to see what a shape can really do.

I take it you weigh about 70kg and don’t push the boards limits to much. By the looks of it the deck is about 20-25mm thick, it might not snap but it will eventually split down the middle esspecially if give it a hard time.. nice cheap build though mate.
