Re the latest campaign, Karl was updating the shop front before putting up the pledge manager. So I think when it comes up you can still buy in to it. I'm not sure I needed any more fantasy minis so went for the rulebook only as I only found 7TV in it's latest incarnation a couple of years ago. What a lovely set of miniatures and terrain. I didn't catch where you got the minis from but a quick search online I found the stls on MyMiniFactory from a creator called WarinChristmasVillage. If your watchers are interested, MMF and the creator have a collaboration on until Jan 10 2025 14:00UTC with 50% off the stls. Do I add more to my pile of opportunity?

I did, which was a bit of work. I could have just used "Central Casting" but I wanted to match the characters better. The zombies are right out of the box, and a few are direct copies with new pictures. My favorite original one is St Nicholas who is a combo of the Cleric and the Necromancer!

Ron, not quite my cup of tea though I enjoyed your coverage. I do dabble but pretty much use Chaos in Carpathia rules, they suit me in my twilight years. If I don't comment before Christmas my best wishes of course. I trust your own celebrations will be uncommonly festive. I have to say, though I have never played D&D, I picked up one of those Trials of Tempus sets in one of those ridiculously cheap,Black November sales. Sometimes, as with love, we make the right decisions for all the wrong reasons. Thank you for all your hard work. You have cost me a small fortune with your colonial recommendations. I have the rules but have been unable to find in it any reference to the intended pronunciation of the 'V'. Is there such or have you heard the matter discussed on social media? (You mention Studiotomahawk saying it didn't matter). I know it may sound petty but this debate is preventing me from playing the game as I get so worked up about the disdain with which so many wargamers treat History. As Studiotomahawk is French, they above all should appreciate that many in the French Resistance risked their lives painting V's on the side of buildings and vehicles - it was a symbol of resistance to Nazi occupation and did not represent the Latin numeral which was not in common usage during WW2 then and even less so now. Not trying to start a row but am frustrated by the proliferation of this error and cannot discover how it started.

@@CryHavocWarGaming Do they have videos? I haven't come across any on KZbin. What notes are there if not in the rules which I have scanned thoroughly? kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXzIm5qtbt9_Z9U A few videos by Fred and Alex. They both refer to the game as 5 for Victory on the three videos. They also begin the book by quoting Churchill which suggests the opposite! I am on two FB pages so I might have read that they don't care there. @CryHavocWarGaming

@CryHavocWarGaming
@CryHavocWarGaming 25 күн бұрын
@@armageddon_gaming It is a common playing card which acts as a movement ruler (one card length) and as the arc for grenade throwing and variation for lobbed or indirect fire. Move could be done with a ruler just doubling the length of a playing card (3 inches or so). A card printer probably cant help because you would need a playing card twice the size of a normal card. I suppose you could just print the PDF of the card at twice its size though.

Ron I have £250 worth of Serissa buildings in a box. I bought them after a dubious friend stole much of a Western town. A tremendous betrayal of friendship but he was an odd fellow. Unfortunately my woman, I apologise for any suggestion of the possessive, left me shortly after I bought them obviously in kit form. I was rather relying on her to put them together. I look in the box from time to time and dream of Western Towns yet unbuilt and Manifest Destiny forestalled. You still remind me of Hunter S Thompson and I thoroughly enjoy your work. Wish I could say the same about Hunter. Always a pleasure Ron. With best wishes, Ian. May you always remain unexpected Internet chum. Take care.

Ron this is clearly off piste and I apologise for it. In all my long wargaming life and despite many a rulebook, rpg or skirmish, I have never found anything that has captured the Wild West. The first boardgame I ever had was bought for a Christmas long ago and was Waddington's Battle of the Little Big Horn. I have a Western Town without rules. Philosophically that's great but without rules I might as well throw marbles at my painted toys. This is not going to happen. I would appreciate any recommendations. It's not classical but it's where the buffalo Rome.

@@CryHavocWarGaming God I love this hobby not least because I understood everything you were talking about. I couldn't quite like the Tomahawks game or The Men who would be Kings. The great regret of my life, apart from Spurs not winning the league since 1961, is that I have never found the perfect English Civil War rules. For God's sake I found an Irish woman to love which is supposed to be difficult if not impossible but the ECW has escaped me. Maybe we are damned, which I have often suspected, but a man who ceases to adventure is paradoxically lost. I enjoy your site and appreciate the work that goes into it. Women and wargames both of which I love, well one in particular, both begin with the letter W. Coincidence? I think not. I am joking by the way. Thanks for the Western rules suggestion. One of the great icons of English wargaming, Donald Featherstone, who I had the great joy of meeting at a show years ago, used to report Wild West skirmish games in Wargamers Newsletter in the sixties.
