Thanks for the tour. Is there camping next to the mountains that are part of the LTVA, or is this too far away from Quartzsite?

Beware, near the entry gate, are 4 steel posts cut off about 4" above the ground that will destroy your tires. Stay on the gravel. Next time we're out, we're going to rock cairn them.

Please, stop referring to people who are poor and not well dressed as criminals, And referring to others. Lifestyle negatively. Also, many people in their cars are people in the Van Life Community who are saving to purchase a van. Now, rent has surpasses the disabled in many cases. Because of the economy, people have had to find alternate housing, Waiting list are often in the thousands. I try to follow this saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." Just don't talk about them. It adds nothing to your content.and you do not know their story. Sorry I gave some criticism but there were several references and I try thought it needed to be said. Thank you for showing us the area in and around Quartzsite. It will be my first visit on January 3rd and I am nervous about correctly finding a camping spot. Currently am a tent camper saving to upgrade to a camping vehicle of some kind.

I was wandering about the rules on using a generator at the LTVA. People never cease to amaze me with those contractor generators. As cheap at the inverter generators are now why would anyone want to even use the loud contractor generators? Here are the rules I found online. 8.Quiet Hours. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. under applicable state time zone standards, or as otherwise posted. 9. Noise. Do not operate audio devices or motorized equipment, including generators, in a manner that makes unreasonable noise as determined by the authorized BLM officer. Outdoor amplified music is allowed only within La Posa and Imperial Dam LTVAs in locations designated by BLM, and when approved in advance by an authorized BLM officer. Thanks for sharing the view of the desert :)

So here's question for those that love to let their dogs run free! What's going to happen if my dog is leashed up and tied to my truck and your free roaming dog decides to invade my dogs space and my dog eats yours? I like to let my dog run also but there is a time and place for it. NOT in a place like this.

There's a special road that goes to the South part of LA Posa's South. You go past the dump stations. Pass the volunteers camping area and take the first road on your right. It's designated by a pile of rocks. Your big rigs can go in that road. Because the washes are very shallow.
