I remember when Malström came out, I ran everything through it. Having those comb filters for drums and stuff.. or running Subtractor or samples through it. So fun. I think Malström is still unique as a synth in the Reason ecosystem. I'm gonna break it out and run it through some Rack Extensions! 🤘

I would run the stereo out of an NN-XT or Dr. Rex into the A and B of Malström, and then set Filter A to Comb + and B to Comb - or the AM filter is cool... then mess around with spread and LFO to each one. Sometimes throw the distortion on. After watching your vid here I set one up and threw it through the new Stereo tool. 🤘

damn why they hide those tape emulation from this obscure drum machine, again thanks to your tip, i discover another hidden feature from a rack extension that i have no interest for because of Redrum Kong and also Reason Drum and Inphonix RX 1200 arf i hate when they made another useless drum machine, when we already have plenty of it !!!

@@Meteotrance i guess every drummachine has its purpos, shure they do the same but all work differently, it depends on what your sound is

@@meinwegalsproducer yeah but in the case of humpff, it's just a sampling drum machine like Redrum or Kong with just some dirty effect add an interface that fits the Player Module that sequence drum, if i put my Kick and Snare from my acoustic Pearl Decade maple in it, it probably sound the same with the exception of the Dirty effect add you can have from Humpff and Kong if i put dry it's the same .

my other rack extention module like RX 1200 add the build in lofi DAC from the Sp 1200 e-mu and also the fader workflow that pitch the sound it make sound this crunchy, to made that with Redrum or Kong i can also add decimort or another Akai emulation from inphonix but it change the perception of the sound, Hummpff could be just a module effect for drum machine without adding the sample slot.

i knew i could use multiple output in Kong, but i never really try to send any external mixing bus to it, with the modularity of Reason, the tweak possibility is endless, i really like the compressor from Kong and also the Ratler and noise generator, thanks to your tip , now i probably could use this on my live drum recording session without the need of sampling inside the beast, same for my V drum trigger module, that make my futur drumming session realy interesting.

Reason is truly a disturbing daw... like, dont get me wrong, I really like using it, but i feel like it has features in the wrong places kinda... like u can use the drum machine as a mixer, but there is still no midi chase in the piano roll? Anyways, very interesting video.

Hi, it’s a lovely tone and nice trick, I wonder if you would get the same result just duplicating the midi on a radical piano track, or just adding the two instruments with an inline mixer on the same track… I am trying to understand the benefit of using your routing instead of a more classic approach :) In the meanwhile you got your sub number 555 :)

The Routing on this is totally optional, its just another creative trick, you just trigger the resonator , it sounds a bit different then playng the midi, thx for the follow

@@meinwegalsproducer well, there are some effect chains I find interesting about it. especially the 4 channel chorus effect. But I have also discovered something else which you might not have noticed. I discovered that they also rehashed the sfx samples from the NN-XT and threw this back in to this device. (not that is a bad thing, on the contrary) A topic I find interesting if you would ask me. Because in theory this would be like grain, mix it with NN-XT and throw that into a new direction. This by itself if you take stock devices as a whole did open my eyes here. But that's a bed time story for another time ;)

I know your obviously not English but you should just do all your video's in English, its the most widely spoken language in EU and USA and all the places Reason users are based. I have had your vids pop up in the past however I skipped past because I only understand English.

@meinwegalsproducer I won't watch videos in Garmen, because I can't understand it and I won't use subtitles because I'm not always looking at the screan, also its annoying tying to read and look at what's happening at the same time, To much for My dyslexia. As I said already your big view potential is in English, USA, Canada, UK native tounge, then You got all the country's who's second laugwich is English, including Europe, Africa, China, India and practically most of the word. You keep doing vids in German for just Germany or do videos in English and apeal to the world.

Ist es möglich, 3 Noten eines Chords gleichzeitig auf 3 Instrumente aufzuteilen. Also Note 1 geht an Synth 1 Note 2 an Synth 2 ... Aber immer random? Also mal geht Note 1 auch an Synth 2?

This is already possible with a combination of other reason devices. Again, reason is being redundant creating "new" extension from existing devices and not creating anything new.

Does this mean (using the 3rd mode) we can finally easily isolate e.g. a kick from MIDI drum pattern and use it elsewhere for Sidechain Tool trigger? This is really good, if true! Can't wait to see what else is in 13.1!!! :)

This is great! It opens so many possibilities of creative - and regular - routing of MIDI around. Too bad we had to wait 8+ years (when Players were first introduced) for them to finally do it. Well, better late than never, I guess :)
