No, it was a terrible invention, because it removed responsibility from the owners of the company.

The West Indian company specialized more in the slave trade. This one was more into spices and forced trade agreements. And there where other ones to exploit poor people in the Netherlands themselves.

Yes, this was enjoyable. I do tend to worry, and I'm glad for it. I still remember thinking only a few years ago, "Don't worry. Between 20 years of active duty military service and now going to college, you'll easily find a second career." I should have worried about finding a job first and just gone to night school, if at all. PBS is even more educational than my college experience was and there aren't even any assignments to worry about. So, now, I just travel abroad, below the means of my retired pay, invest the surplus and I'm just a few more months away from being debt free. That probably wouldn't be happening for a long time, if I found a "good" job in Florida. Sometimes things need to fall apart so they can grow back better, so don't worry.

Well it looks like the KZbin algorithm has cut off the audio whenever a copyrighted work is featured.

Tea wasn’t just a chance to grab a bite, it was caffeine to keep laborers on task and able to work into the late evening. This later translated to the coffee break in the US, which remains as just one of the breaks permitted people who work so many hours, depending upon nation, state, province, etc.

Hello Mr. Wolf. I am a long time fan and I do enjoyed this video on china. Around the 2:30 mark the sound cuts out and the narration is muted. I love your videos and the format I just thought it would help letting you know. Happy new year!

that's true but it's stupid. such a nice piece of meat shjould be enjoyed for what it is. if you mix a load of other ingredients and taste sources into the mix, like in a burger, you'd like that burger just as much with some meat that is a bit less in quality @@Asildriez
