That's very depressing. Was thinking about going there in spring. Guess if it's not bringing in enough money it's not worth their while to clear the trees. I noticed it was the same at BPW but it was cleared up in days.
@belowaveragemountainingbik727910 күн бұрын
Yeah. I am guessing many of those trees have been down for weeks - since the last storms. Most of those trees are also plantation trees so would have been cut down anyway by NRW. I am not sure what White’s level is like as I didn’t manage to get to it but you can still do the stuff straight from Glyncorrwg. Plus the lower trails - Penrhydd and Blue Scar - are very much rideable. Top of Afan Mast should also be ok but don’t know about the lower forest sections.

@@belowaveragemountainingbik7279 not sure western bike events did Aberbeeg?? Caerphilly / North Road desperately needs a proper segregated cycle path
@belowaveragemountainingbik72793 ай бұрын
Well there is sort off - between the Morrisons and the traffic lights - all 200 metres of it. And then there is the bus lanes down to the flyover. This is why I generally go via Maes Y Coed Rd/Allensbank Rd most days. I just now need to avoid the pedestrians in the bike lanes... and the odd car. I have seen a car drive up the cycle lane on Cathays Terrace.
@CHEEKYlad_lol3 ай бұрын
@@belowaveragemountainingbik7279 We love the 200 metres that ends as you cross the bridge. As in your video - eg 7:58 the bus lane stops and starts, and has buses in it so you have to merge with the live traffic. I too go down Allensbank Rd / Cathays Terrace which is much nicer.

Filtering is indeed legal for both bicycles and motorcycles. Indeed for motorcycles it's a recommended practice and you can fail your test if you DON'T do it. I believe that all Car drivers who are physically able should also do the motorcycle Compulsory Basic Training [CBT].

Don't worry, I'm sure the government are already planning to rip up more green space and destroy the flow of traffic even more soon, just so you and the deliveroo riders are happy. It's a magical scheme that involves borrowing even more money (increasing an already-enormous and precarious debt) and will justify a congestion charge, just to squeeze ordinary people even more. The best bit, of course, is how utterly undemocratic it is with virtually zero consultation with local communities. After all, technocracy rightly assumes that power should lie in the circumscribed world of the expert and kept firmly away from the unwashed idiots who we allow to scurry about us like ants.
