Excellent! I think McVie has the bass tuned a half step down, which might make the pattern (and that odd grace note) a little easier to play.

That’s cool! Can you tell me what you use to record the bass in the computer and what software you use to produce the song combined with the bass line?

In the main riff, where you have all open G strings, Flea plays it muted. Should be "X" not open.

Okay so having played this nonstop for about ten minutes... I reeeeeaally appreciated that there is no lil karaoke bar showing where in the tab i am. Felt like it helped me actually feel the pulse and learn phrasing of the line more deeply and quickly. Awesome transcription!!

I love your work, it's good for noob wannabe bassist to exercise on tab/notation/your hand... and i love the Family Man lines, so perfect to work on having fun. Thanks :-)

You're in the groove, but one critical comment I will make as a fellow bassist; I notice how far your fret fingers are coming up off the strings. I was taught that this could slow up your when you come up with a fast fingering pattern which is vital when you have to get to that next note with speed. In funk basslines those notes come up so fast and with bringing your fingers that far off of the strings it could be a challenge. So try not to come up off the strings to far and see if this improve your speed and fingering. This is my humble criticizing, because you are on the money with this Marvin Gaye classic. Peace Out.

I wouldn't overthink the numbers. You don't have to understand the numbers and symbols to play it. But if you want to learn music theory I would start with a bass guitar beginner book. Essential elements is a great brand
