Leave him rest in peace! You do not need to know anything about how he lived. What a desecration!

What's the point of saying Rest in Peace at a funeral, when mankind is intent on digging up and poking and prodding every single human that's ever died? They seem to want to do everything BUT let them rest in peace?

So... bizzare. We can only really picture that time period through the assists of text, stylized paintings, imagination. The era never really felt so real. It was almost like fantasy or fiction especially since most of what we hear about it are royal escapades and scandals, wars, politics. Seeing his body, him being from the 17th century puts a face to it all. 17th century living. It really grounds it as an actual part of history with actual people who lived. I wish he could just wake up and start telling his story and of the people that were around him. What life was like. What he ate. How he slept.

- Johannes 5:25-30 - Raamattu 1933/1938

My man's about to wake up and fart dust. Lol all jokes aside he looks astonishingly well considereding He's from the 17 century. I guess under the right conditions the body can mummify if the air is dry and windy. The skin becomes as brittle as paper. I have see these mummified bodies in real life you can't even touch them because they literally turn to dust when you do. You need special equipment and Cotton gloves because the oils from your hands can further damage or destroy the body. Kudos to these Historians for taking great care as to Not really touch the body

One day medical science might be advanced enough to send molecular size mini robots into his brain and begin to rebuild all of the cell wall structures, one by one and adding moisture and pliancey back to the soft tissues. This would then restructure the rest of the body if possible, or adapt to external support systems, possibly a man made body unit if the old body is not available or doesn't take to the rebuilding process. The entire thing might require ten to 15 months of micro resturcturing. All very fascinating. I'd love to see this guy s reaction to being brought back to life three hundred years later. Wow!

I was like ”Hold up, haven’t I been here before?” When I found a meme of Jake Paul digging up Muhammed Ali. Found the video and yes in fact, I have been there with my class many years ago. Because I remember the surroundings looking like the darn basement in Lund
