I just ran across your channel and this video. I was really glad to see it. I have a brand-new Cobra NP10 and I just can't figure out how to adjust everything! There are very few videos out there for that particular skiver and I'm so frustrated because I have a $2700 machine that I am struggling to learn. I don't understand why the machines do not come with a manual. Anyway, I'm so happy to have found you and will enjoy your videos!

I understand your struggle! Even with more information out there about the NP4 there was a really big learning curve for me. Are you a member of the Facebook group Tips and Tricks with Cobra Class Leatherworking Equipment? I know they can help you with specifics for your machine.

Get some long tweezers to pull that out. Also loosen the extractor tool to help prevent the leather from getting tangled. When shoving long pieces, make sure the leather drops down through the hole while still a short in length.

Thanks! I had thought about a long pair of tweezers, but with leather, I know I won't ding the blade. I had to laugh that I never really have trouble with it packing up, but I just happened to be making another video 😄

Those are beautiful. I have 2 questions I hope you will answer. How did you sew the cellphone pocket on and how did you secure the D rings? Is the top one attached in the back to the concho and did you rivet the bottom one on then sew the decorative piece on the front over them? Thank you.

What’s a Buck Roll? 🤔
@33RanchSaddlery
@33RanchSaddlery Жыл бұрын
Buck rolls are a piece that can be added onto a western saddle to help hold you into the seat in case your horse make a quick movement or bucks. Fun fact - they are stuffed with wool that is cut from the scraps of sheepskin used to line the skirts of the saddle.

I think it would work great on fabrics with a bit more substance such as denim or canvas. With lighter fabrics it would probably depend on your surface. Thanks for watching!!
