Fantastic analysis, the best I've seen yet: "Chapeau!" 🤠 And I think this win was right up there with Cavs very BEST!!!🔥

Cav should have been dsq for moving way off line, he is still on 34 for me 😊
@willavinou15073 ай бұрын
But he angled across into open road, impeding NO-ONE! Entirely legit move, GENIUS in fact!😎
@TOrangeLantern3 ай бұрын
I think his move towards Bauhaus was definitely dangerous. His final move towards the left was fine, since there was no one, and he clearly saw that.
@willavinou15073 ай бұрын
@@TOrangeLantern Surely it was just a well timed 'nudge' on Bauhaus~and isn't that a regular feature of pro sprinting?🤔
@TOrangeLantern3 ай бұрын
I think if Bauhaus would've fallen (which he almost did), Cav would be disqualified. Which is very results-based thinking, but that's how most of these things are judged. I think the DQ for Philipsen yesterday was very good, therefore.

Hi Eugene! I won't be going online for the Tour de France, cause I'll be on holiday. But after I'll be back.

Some teams should take a really long hard look at themself and question their tactics and decision making. If people from the outside can see how bad it is, you should act

Really clear and easy to understand analysis! Im just getting into cycling and the pro race scene and it helped me understand what was happening and what they shouldve done! Looking forward to more - especially the upcoming TDF!

All the other teams gc riders all to scared to attack podi on mountains, they didnt even try, shoyld try and at least but then rhey all just focussed on who was close to them in standings.
@eugenekurtkleinsmith74325 ай бұрын
Do the goals of the teams change that are not in contention for the GC, I'm a novice and sometimes get so confused with certain breakaways
@TOrangeLantern5 ай бұрын
Definitely! Teams that aren't in contention for the GC (anymore) will usually focus on individual stage wins instead.

I won my first C race after 4 weeks without racing but replaced it with training. I averaged 3.8w/kg for 29mins and beat the others by 1min, them averaging 3.2w/kg. Then I got upgraded to B afterwards. I didn’t attack in the race I just picked up the pace and nobody could hang on. Gaining 2sec per lap. Now racing withe big boys.
@TOrangeLantern5 ай бұрын
3.8 w/kg is impressive! I'm also doing a lot more 'training' instead of Zwift racing. Let's see where that gets me!

Hey, good job overall and you did well standing on the ramps. You never looked anywhere close to your limit, nor did your heart rate suggest you were. Cadence seemed a bit lower than ideal, meaning your legs were probably hurting more than necessary.
@andymiller546 ай бұрын
Well done! Way to hang with the front. I just upgraded to B so I’m feeling similar feelings of just wanting to survive to the end! No matter how tired I am I try to stand up the last 250-200m and empty it all but it really is hard when you’re giving it all to hold the wheel. Your punches up the rollers looked great, nice work and excellent workout 💪
@TOrangeLantern6 ай бұрын
I feel exactly the same! There's just never much left to even do a sprint at the end of these races

Well done and welcome to Cat C. A great effort, you gave it all, and got a great result for your first race in the category.
@Shadow46707 ай бұрын
Well done, I think you are close to one of your goals. The fact you can stay with the front group means a Cat C win is very possible in next few months. The losing weight goal is one I can relate to, I have lost nearly 20kgs in last 18 months with a combination of running, cycling (zwifting) and diet . The last 3 months since just before Christmas I have plateaued off, I train 9-10 hours per week but I’m eating whatever I want. So my weight has stayed the same🙄 Definitely just a tweak to the calorie intake and your weight will drop again.

That ain't a hill is all I can say.. Best to view it as a short punch. When you describe something as an obstacle, that's what it is.. but it ain't a hill!
@TOrangeLantern7 ай бұрын
Haha, fair! Definitely felt like a mountain to me! But that's actually good mental advice, I'll keep it in mind :)
@AJIsaacsZwifting7 ай бұрын
@TOrangeLantern in C also.. once you get over that punch there's 110w of rolling draft saving on the flat and it's mostly flat.. so question is how deep can you go to ensure you keep that free 110w+ of draft....
@krisb20387 ай бұрын
Well done, i also recently upgraded to C, did my first C race this week. So we may meet in race. Good luck on your progress. I only recently started recording races, but with no editing. Do you spend a lot of time on the editing? Any tools you recommend?
@TOrangeLantern7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'm actually a video editor by profession, so I'm pretty comfortable with editing. It still takes me a few hours though, usually. I use Adobe. Hope to see you in the races!
