I went there today with my grandpa and I got a CN shirt and a nickel plate road 765 steak locomotive and the nickel plate road heritage unit they are both on the same shirt and when I left I went to the east Lansing Amtrak station but I saw no trains there then I went to csx and I had good news I caught M303 right when I was going over the tracks I didn’t have my tripod setup and I had my radio scanner but it was dead so I went handheld but I I had a great time at the east Lansing train show!

#57’s horn is by far my favorite Diesel locomotive horn. I know it was in some iconic/popular movies. Anyone know the name for the horn by chance? You don’t here these too often anymore. Great video, never seen diesel routes through here before! Thanks for posting. Hats off for your Grandfather!

Planning to see Big Boy in Rochelle on Monday morning and then chase it heading east. Do you have any tips on good places to set up trackside between Rochelle and the West Chicago Yard?
