The last chapter should have been 175,it would have been a perfect ending bittersweet yet amazing, if you exclude the next few chapters it's a 9/10,if not like a 7.5/10

I actually love this ending. Maybe bc takemichi is my fav. But the fact that his goal, what he wanted all along was to SAVE EVERYONE! And he did it! He finally did it. He knew he couldn't finish what he want, so he gave the power to Mikey. Only for them to save everyone together. I think its a very beautiful ending. Not the best. But i love it!

South is one of my favorite characters. He's really violent, but also, some facts about him make his backstory really sad, and that's what makes me like him so much.😅😅i can't understand why there is so much hatred against him

the ending lacked depth in my opinion. it wasn't deep. it was rushed. wayyyy to rushed. hell when they time traveld i was so excited because some interesting stuff was gonna happen. but then the whole thing was skipped and all of a sudden YAY happy ending. shit was lackluster. love the manga. but it ain't favorite material

I don't understand people underestimating him, he took a hit from a rare impact dial while weakened by a sea prism at the same time yet he revived hiself like nothing happened, no other DF user has been attacked nor has a feat like that. Not to mention his observation haki can scan across islands.

I like the ending but the bonds that he lost (especially chifuyu)makes me sad. I hope the animated version doesnt seem as rushed as the manga tho

Yes the ending was certainly rushed. The ending was happy for sure but I feel like all the plot was gone to waste with this chapter but I overall do think ignoring this chapter alone the story was good, i feel maybe the ending deserved to be spanned over a few more chapter (yes I cannot take a bittersweet ending I would cry if Draken and Baji never came back 😭)

the ending was great, think of it this way: after a long series of suffering, wakui wanted to give us and his characters a happy ending. they achieved their end goal, which was to save everyone. sure, it was rushed a bit, but wakui has been working on this series for almost five years now and you could see the passion that he’s been putting into his work. you can tell that he loves tokyo revengers and that this ending is what makes him happy. plus, it doesn’t really matter anymore since he’s working on a new delinquent series called negai no astro!

A lot of movie even ends like this and stuff, the progress wasnt for nothing. Takemitchy had to go through everything to basically get this ending. Thats how im seeing it 🤷🏽♂️

As a person who has no stake in the conversation (have not watched or read the manga, but read time loop stories on a regular basis): the whole point of time loop fiction lies in returning or going to the point in time where the mission can be accomplished. You should feel empty, because of the lost character growth and the bonds. That's the point. Any time traveler is a tragic character who remembers, while all the world around him just moves on. If the author couldn't deliver that feeling of emptiness, then he failed at the genre he chose.

I agree. I just finished the manga today, and the bittersweet feeling of everyone no longer remembering what happened after everything Takemichi has been through hurts, but it's just as beautiful as it is painful. Characters like Emma and Dracken were able to come back to life, but the friendships like Takemichi and Senju will never be the same. So the days they could have spent together were only reduced to one, where Takmichi made a promise to go out and eat Ice Cream with her again one day, but because the ending, that promise will never be fulfilled. The bonds were erased along with the past timelines, and only Takemichi and Mikey can share those memories together (the author still snuck in Chifuyu faintly remembering the entire adventure though, he probably wanted to give us at least one other person who will never forget). And that's why it feels like such a special ending. Takemichi was able to get his revenge on his life, and all those events were between his life and him. He got his revenge by saving all of his friends, and just them still being alive and happy is all he could ask for. He's called "Our Crybaby Hero," and just like any other superhero, does he really need any praise for being heroic?

In my opinion i kinda felt the manga was rushed leaving other character development wasted but in the other side i felt happy in the ending seeing everyone happy in their own personal lives.
