Timothy was obedient, open to the gospel and willing to be lead by his mother and grandmother. The Lord graciously granted him the gift of repentance. This is not always the case even in homes where the parents and grandparents faithfully prayed for and encouraged their children in the faith leading by example, albeit not perfectly because none of us are. Our son Matthew is 23 years old and has rejected the Lord, thinking that he has time in the future to get right with Him when he has accomplished all he wants to do in life first. We have pleaded with him as no one knows the hour of their death, yet he is still resistant. His parents and grandparents have faithfully prayed for him, yet he is not willing to accept His free gift of salvation. Would you pray with us that Matthew would repent and acknowledge his need for a Savior? Thank you! ❤

Look at the progression of the people in verses 21-39. They have NO INTERNAL WITNESS. v. 21 They have AN INTERNAL INTEREST. V.24 They were PERSONALLY INVITED. v.30 They were PERSONALLY INVOLVED AND INVESTED.v.33-35 notice use of “they” Elijah repaired and prepared but he involved them in pouring the water on the sacrifice-get the people involved repeatedly in the pouring of the water, the Word of God! Their effort in gathering and getting and pouring the water was their investment. Elijah let the pour the water They were PERSONALLY INVOKED (prayed for).v.36-37 Elijah invited them to come near(30) then he came near(36) They have an IMMEDIATE INTERACTION AND TESTIMONY.v39 They responded properly! Fell on their faces They realized profoundly! The LORD They repeated it personally! Now they have a testimony of what they saw, heard, felt, and now they KNEW beyond any question or doubt who God was! The Lord shared this with me, I hope it blessed you as well serve Him!
