Still didn't win the Ashes though, nor the World Cup at the end of the year. Won't deny how good they were in Melbourne though. Even as an Aussie I'll tip my lid to the Lions effort that night.

Linden Mcgee I am 34 and watched the game all my life was a baby when I started watching and I also played for many years at amature level still would be if it wasnt for bad knees. Don't have a problem with giving people a bit of elbow letting them know your there or standing your grond like Barrie McDermott Paul Forber Adam Fogerty or Kirt Sorenson or others alike not just running in swinging like he did.

Seemed like a really nice genuine guy. HGH (Human Growth Hormone) so what! With the exception of this interviewer people within and outside of the sport crushed him, and we all know how that ended. So many had no empathy for his situation, they were just full of vitriol.

WHAT IS HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE? The body naturally produces growth hormone (HGH or simply GH) in the pituitary gland, and, as its name implies, it is responsible for cell growth and regeneration. Increasing muscle mass and bone density are impossible without GH, but it also plays a major role in maintaining the health of all human tissue, including that of the brain and other vital organs. When secreted, GH remains active in the bloodstream for only a few minutes, but this is enough time for the liver to convert it into growth factors, the most crucial of which is insulin-like growth factor-1, or IGF-1, which boasts a host of anabolic properties. Scientists began to harvest GH from the pituitary glands of cadavers in the 1950s, but didn’t synthesize the first HGH in laboratories until 1981, with its use as a performance-enhancing drug becoming popular shortly thereafter.

But who do you blame for letting him get away with his on-field antics? Some things deserve a life ban (eg Ben Flower). It's a tough game and we like it that way but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed (high shots, late tackles). Tez spent most of his career on the wrong side of it. Gareth Hock's another - seems like he must have anger management issues (to say the least). If the punishment fits the crime then the RFL is saying that this sort of thing (tackles on Gilmour and Long) are basically okay and not a really big deal.

Never watched this before, Carney conducts his interview like an interrogator.... Terry Newton is/was in a bad place mentally. The interview has served no purpose whatsoever. Throughout, he (Newton) looks nervous and insecure as to the way the questioning is going..... Carney looks like he is reading direct from a RFL Headquarters find out what he knows dossier! In my opinion....for what it is, terrible, misguided so called journalism from Sky, that only seemed to exacerbate one mans mental problems. As much as I never liked you as a player, you needed help not interrogation.....RIP Terry Newton.
