To cut a circle you can put a screw on the centre and tie some string on it with a pencil at the radius length, then you’ll have the exact size and exact place you need ✌️

I gotta do this tomorrow. I plan to use an old frying pan and a router with a templating bit on it. The frying pan is 25cm dia so perfect 😅

Thanks for the tip. Helped me out a lot. I had slightly different radiator stoppers. That took some getting out. But radiators now clean and ready to paint. I'm decorating my whole apartment from top to bottom. So your tip saved me some headaches. I'll show a photo once it's painted.

Brilliant video. Looked at other videos but they didn’t explain how to get the bottom bit off, this one did. My radiator was full of 20yrs of dust and pet hair, now it’s sparkly clean. Thanks

You could use clear glue stick... Hot glue some on the top of the tub stick... Take your rubber replacement flip it inside out the place on top of the glue then flip in onto the stick.... The glue will serve as two things.. A filler and helping in stick on

Ewwww, pumping filthy attic air into living space. Filter doesn't remove ultra fine particles and voc.
@IanPycroft3 ай бұрын
Depends on the filters you use. The standard filters aren't the best, but you can buy better ones for under £30 which will filter ultra fine particles. I bought the better filters for mine.

My girlfriend has one of these units and it is the heater version similar to yours, hers is constantly blowing out cold air, without instructions, and operating instructions I was wondering what setting on the control panel is in relation to getting it to blow out heat not cool air! I noticed one called (c10) from the menu and imagine you up this value to 20? But not 100% sure! Any help would be great

I’ve just installed one too mate and can’t seem to get the heating element to work so the air is a few degrees warmer going into the house
@martinp907Ай бұрын
Yes that's correct , at 20 it means if temp in loft drops below 20 heater kicks in so the air should be slightly warmer blowing into the house. It doesn't mean that the temp will be 20 degs being blown in . I'm sure I read somewhere heater is a max of 12 legs anyway 🤔
@jackearlam2963Ай бұрын
I’ve had to turn the heater right down as with it on i went from £60 electric a month to £180 a month 🙃
@martinp907Ай бұрын
@jackearlam2963 yea they claim it's a fiver a year to run 🤣 obviously not when running the heater !! It's 500w so if it's 38p per kwh that's working out at 18p ger hour to run !

I've got this unit and have just (2 mins ago) fitted the heater unit to it. Mine has been in and running in my bungalow for 2 years (without a heater). I had a lot of condensation when we first moved in. Put the piv on a 2 room setting and it made little difference (2 bed bungalow) so I put it on max for 5 beds and now we have no condensation at all. It's worked great for us so far. We did find the hall where the piv vent is, is colder than the rest of the house hense why we have fitted a heater unit. I'm setting it on 10c because I don't understand the instructions and will plug an energy monitor in to see when the heater comes on. (It records when the watts on the piv goes up and for how long)

13:40 I also found that the filters collapse quite considerably when the unit is in operation - reducing the surface area; In the brochure and images all the filters appear to be fully expanded/extended which is somewhat misleading in my opinion.
