The Pros of moving to tucson, az. Tucson has that big city/small town feeling. You can get to mostly anywhere you want to go to in Tucson, AZ and like Las Cruces, NM it is a good city to retire in. Phoenix is not that far of a drive to have a get away and also driving to Las Vegas or taking the bus or flying is not that far away. The cons: I say depending in the area you choose to move to. Some areas can be filled with crime and other areas can be better!

I just moved here from the PNW 3 months ago. Here are my thoughts: the lack of green doesnt bother me. I think there is actually a lot of green (especially after it rains) its just a different green. I think its beautiful in a different way than back home. The dry heat was the appeal for me, and the dry air. I love how a 90 degree feels like a 70 degree day and the dry air has been good for my eczema. The homeless problem is a problem everywhere. Nationwide. Even cities like Anchorage have a huge homeless problem. Its just something we have to learn to live with no matter where we live. I think its walkable, its just hot and most people are lazy and dont like to sweat. Its not the most walkable place, but the public transit that does exist is free and the weather is typically nice enough to be walking. Yes, the drivers here are so dumb. And the potholes are a major concern. Thats the only part of your list I agree with.

Saw 2 appealing neighborhood, no HOA is plus. Enjoyed the video.

One big plus to Tucson, 65 mile drive to Nogales, MX for dental work, cheap medications, and awesome Doctors. The one big reason I decided to retire here.

another thing is some places in the county, you need to pay extra to be serviced by the fire department should you have a fire. I just paid mine and it is close to 800 dollars annually which is based on the size of the house I believe.

Not a very smart person at all, there are bad drivers world wide, same with homeless people, whether is good and bad everywhere, we are hundreds of thousands of people working outside year round, I guess if everyone is leaving Tucson there is no point on why thousands and thousands of houses have been being built in the last few years 😂😂😂😂 what an idiot….

I think it is the combination of the sales tax in Pima County + state sales tax = 11.1%. Why would I move from Indiana to Arizona and pay more in sales tax?

You don't know from bad drivers, come to Sacramento, you will experience bad driving in its purest form. I was in Tucson in 2023 the drivers were much better.

I moved to Tucson last August, and I love it! The Oro Valley area is great, people are great! I love the small town vibe, the slower pace to enjoy life more. And it's a great city for cycling! 💚
