I said this exact thing Lindsey Shell wrote about. Clark is a threat to the DEI agenda expressed on the WNBA platform. See my previous posts on this issue. What woke culture is doing to Trump they are doing to Clark in the WNBA.

Maybe it's because Caitlin is not tatted from the neck to the ankle. Maybe it's because Caitlin is assertive on the court but pleasant behind the microphone. Maybe it's because parents who have daughters see Caitlin as a good role model for their daughters to emulate. Maybe it's because Caitlin really enjoys taking time out to talk with young people, sign autographs, and give her playing shoes to little kids who really look up to her and appreciate the face time. But, because she is White? No way. There are plenty of White WNBA veteran players, but there is just one Caitlin Clark, to date. White? Who's White? The ball doesn't care what color the hands are that are shooting it, dribbling it, passing it, even blocking it. The ball just does what a ball is supposed to do - go where you send it!

Christie Sides needs to go back to High School or Junior high coaching basketball. I feel bad for Caitlin Clark and she does really well. From Iowa fans and Indiana fans are really disappointed in this performance. Step up and fire her and get a coach that will WIN games

I admire AB so much. In this day and time it’s unpopular for someone to post or talk about being a Christian. In March she posted her water Baptism in the Virgin Islands and posted how blessed she was beyond words and how with Him all things are possible. She’s an inspiration on and off the court. ❤

Fever. Targeting the draft theyll be the golden state of the wnba and CC is already crowned Queen 👑 its deeper than changing a coach whose being told to make these decisions...the coach is the reason for this team and people wondering why she's still coach she's gonna be a legend and everyone will forget all this watch !
@stevezecola980
@stevezecola980 5 сағат бұрын
Substitutions are certainly a noticeable part of the coach’s job. But there are more important areas where Sides has failed. First, the Fever’s players don’t know the game plan (other than to play harder). That falls on Sides. Given the personnel, it should be obvious that the team should be built around Caitlin handling the ball and getting it inside to Boston. In short, Caitlin needs to bring the ball up the court and if she is double-teamed, she needs to find an open shooter. If she is not double-teamed, she needs to drive to the basket or shoot the 3. Likewise for Boston. If she attracts a double-team once she gets the ball, she should pass to an open shooter (preferably outside of the 3). If she’s one on one, she should drive to the basket and/or shoot a short jumper. This combo should dominate the league much like Stockton and Malone. Boston should stay inside the key, not outside the 3 point line. Kelsey and Wheeler are playing as if it’s 2023, and Sides is with them. Having Clark shot long two’s is not the answer and is quite destructive. apbr.org/metrics/viewtopic.php?t=8349 Second, this team doesn’t know how to execute the fundamentals such as floor spacing, setting picks, cutting to the basket, boxing out, etc. Maybe Sides should be holding the assistant coaches responsible for individual improvements. When a coach fails on strategy and execution of that strategy, it’s time for a change. There is a reason that they are 1 and 6, and it’s not the schedule.

DEI allowed the NFL to now have numerous black quarterbacks which is good for everyone. Caitlyn Clark is popular because she is transcendant player who is a joy to watch while reaching unprecedented achievements. It has little to do with race or sexuality. DEI allows more women to graduate college than men. DEI pushes blacks, women and everyone else to greater achievement. The fight against DEI and affirmative action is likely hurting whites and men more than blacks and women. The fight against DEI is largely because men and whites feel entitled to the historical societal advantages. It makes men weaker to believe they need protection against expanded opportunities for women. It is truly sad that with the continuing significant earnings and wealth gaps between women and men and blacks and whites our society increasingly opposes DEI. Thank goodness it is darkest before the dawn.

Coach i love your compassion and your passion for your fair analysis of the Fever gane, that intentional hit on CC that Sides said and did nothing on abd the refs didnt call not only a foul but a fragrant foul. I've nit joined everybidy and said fire Sides, but when I saw the flagrant foul not called by the refs or Sides it just set me mad. So yeah Sides needs to GO. CC The Effect is going to kerp onshinning, but I'm worried because of the thugs on the W aren't being made accountable for intentional sucker punches.

Just once I would like to hear Sides say, "I need to do a better job getting them ready to play." or, "This loss was my fault." instead she just throws her players under the bus. A lot of her criticisms against the players shouldn't even be mentioned to the press.

When your coach DOESN'T fight for you, then blames YOU in the post-game when asked why she DOESN'T fight for her players, why the hell does anyone think that's a good coaching strategy - at this rate Caitlin will be lucky to have 20 wins under her belt before he contract runs out in 4 years if Sides doesn't either start doing her damn job or get fired.

Sadly, Sides comes across as weak in her coaching decisions and especially having her players' backs. The way "the girls" are going after Caitlin every game....Sides should be hyper aware of flagrant fouls on her star player if she gives a sh** about Caitlin's health.

Adrienne: just recently, i.e., within the past two/three days, for the first time I heard that creepy word "equity" in discussing goals for the WNBA. My first reaction: how fuc-ing stupid. The entire sport in general and the WNBA in particular has everything to do with COMPETITION and nothing to do with EQUITY. As a Constitutional Conservative/Republican I agree that equity is a synonym for communism. What do you think of creeping equity ??? a new subscribe and old baller...

Thank you for subscribing. I am not into DEI nor the stigma attached to it--and honestly, why would the WNBA need that? I'm confused. I remember an old Kobe Bryant commercial when he was playing basketball with a boy and wouldn't let him win. He said, "You should work for everything you get!" I believe in favor and grace, no doubt, but the whole idea of the fairness of who gets recognized and sponsorships and stuff, I don't buy into. I could say more, but you get the overall picture.

@@theadriennerossshow3143 ok...you make a good point. But like many, I discovered CC via basic cable this past January watching all those U. of Iowa playoff games and her performances and like many I am hooked on the WNBA...a Fever fan. And I find myself, retired in my seventies, watching other WNBA games. Recently, I bought a basketball from Walmart and get exercise throwing free throws: my heart doctor would love me for this. Yes, the WNBA has because "in" and it's time it expanded to a dozen more cities...a.s.a.p.

As a long time Hawkeye fan & alum, TOTALLY agree, you hit the nail on the head, Adrienne. (So,I did my M.A. in Sports Mgmt worked a lot with Bluder & Jensen during grad school, so i've been kinda aware of how they operate including clark for a bit, respectfully ;) @theadriennerossshow3143, you are 100% on the money w all this. Also, should be noted, during Clark's time at Iowa, She & Hannah Stuelke (also was a State Track Star) would race & were clocked at times that were faster than *many of the Iowa football team. Her endurance & speed is legit and INSANE.. Incredible Elite level Athleticism there. She should be playing nearly 40min EVERY game & is perfectly capable of that esp as she adjusts more & more to this next level. Definitely should NOT be sitting 3,4 or 5 min at a time EVER, esp when shes hot & got them on a run. The girl should run ultra-marathons and do Iron Man's once shes all done. Also, totally agree with your Sides input here... I've tried to be patient & give her benefit of the doubt moving along early, but its gotten harder and harder w her decisions, what she says, and it's almost impossible now to support her being the Head for this team in the future even from i think halfway point in season.... I think we may see her ousted by then with no MAJOR shifts in her style of coaching , or wins to back it. It's just part of the business. Thanks for all you do, Adrienne! LOVE your podcast, glad i found it!. and Go Hawks and Fever!:)
