Now it seems Google is moving to Android OS and away from ChromeOS. I wonder how that bodes for legacy hardware.

ChromeOS is my baseline for apps and tools and services. Appreciate the info. Looking into APIs or whatnot for using different gpt tools with Google Docs or MS Word for the web on a Chromebook in particular for writing. Sometimes its just nice to be on a Chromebook for the simplicity, almost a zen-like environment.

I’m in the same camp as yourself- for me I just think Apple has dropped the ball and things just don’t seem as polished as a couple of years ago- feeling Google have there fingers on the pulse and are moving forward faster at present I’m on an iPhone 15 so this phone can’t get the new Apple ai features however I’m using Gemini app for iOS and it’s solid feels strange that apples ai can’t work on iPhone 15 but Google AI can hmm thinking of trading in for the Google pixel in the new year googles trade in knocks Apple out the water

one big issue is iphone users have used their chat for years and don't really see a need to change to RCS. i use it but alot of friends don't as they are happy with sms they have been using. Unless it becomes mandatory alot won't switch to it. Just my opinion.
