Rex Brown, Vinnie Paul Abbott and his brother Darryl Abbott said Terry Glaze never had a job during the time he was around any of them, him thinking he's a rock legend?????????? Thinking he's entitled to anything from them? Thinking he's entitled to be part of any Hall of Fame with them? Seriously some people have some outrage, to hell with anyone who is that vacant.

I saw him back in 1978. The comment he made, "Can't never could and can always will." Stuck with me till this day. Best front man ever! He inspired me to play guitar. He worshipped his guitar players. He understood the importance of the musicians backing him. David Lee Roth would be nowhere without Jim Dandy!

I was the singer for a band in 1984 named Stratus. We opened for BOA a couple of times. At that time they were doing the same club circuit we were on the east coast. I've always been a fan of BOA and it was pretty cool to open for bands that I had albums of when I was in my teens... Rick Derringer, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ted Nugent, Robin Trower, etc. Met Jim back stage. Nice man. He had a huge sword that he used to work out with before the show. I thought he would cut off a arm or leg! Glad to have met him. BTW, David Lee Roth got his look and stage presence from Jim Dandy!

He wasn't flashy as the Cheap Trick drummer, his drumming wasn't technically fascinating, but he had a tremendous feel for the drums, just a tremendous feel in general, that I, as a drummer, was impressed by starting from their debut album.

A couple of weeks ago there was a post on Facebook from BOA. I commented on it and Jim Dandy commented back to me personally! How cool is that!! I liked it when an interviewer asked him if he was not happy with David Lee Roth for copying him so much, and Jim Dandy said not at all! He copied from me and I copied from other guys, so it's all good! He said that a very young pre-fame David Lee Roth came to see them at some show in California and told Jim Dandy that he liked his style and showmanship. Then he asked if it was alright if he could record some video of his performance, and Jim Dandy said Well HELL yeah! And I gave him a great show! LOL!

In 1996 Rod Stewart Popped My Cherry! .... No! ... No you silly kids! We weren't gayyyyy! We loved & still love beautiful girls & as Rod Stewart was 1 very first concert As 1 of up to 150 Local Concert Working Crew + just before lunch I impressed my boss so much! That out of the 75-100 Local Crew That worked The IN on that day That he also added me As 1 of only 8 Local Concert Show Call Stage Hand Working Crew & we are the ones Who go on stage Right after The opening act has finished performing & now once they leave the stage That's when us 8 Working Stage Hands + our Roadies We all go on stage together & us Local Crew start removing the opening acts band gear Off of the stage From Down Stage To later pack away backstage & at the same time Our Roadies move the main acts band gear forward From Up Stage to Down Stage & then 20+30 mins later The main act performs & then we pack that band gear & then we put back in a trailer back stage For a Tour Bus to tow & like 3 whole concerts later Working The IN for the 1996 KISS Alive World Wide Tour Concert at Saskatchewan Place in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada Near the very end Of working The IN I was asked If I'd like to help w setting up Peter Criss' Drum Set + I was also asked To do the Pre Sound Check as well & after that I was now added As the Local Concert Working Drum Tech as well So EeeHaaaaaaaa Haha & in 2004 Cheap Trick opened for Aerosmith & near the end of working The IN I was asked To help w Not 1! But 2 drum sets For Joey Kramer of Aerosmith & right after setting up Not 1! But 2 drum sets! For Joey Kramer I was then also asked To help w Cheap Trick's very own Bun E Carlos' Drum Set & that was the 1 & only time That I remember purchasing Any band's t-shirt! In over 1 decade as a Working Stage Hand As we always get a free Local Crew T-Shirt & that was cause the main act! Always hands us right after done working The IN is when we all get 1 Local Crew T-Shirt So for the 2004 Aerosmith Honkin On BoBo Tour Concert in Saskatoon After working The OUT We all get a gratuity 2004 Aerosmith Honkin' On Local Crew T-Shirts At least that's what mine says Haha & cause I knew that! I knew That there's no way! To get a Cheap Trick Local Crew T-Shirt Is exactly why! I purchased one The cheapest one! Cause I was poor back then OK! I'm still poor! In 2024 Haaaa! Haha So I purchased my very 1st Band's T-Shirt ever! & the 2nd time was around 2 years ago 2021/22 maybe When my hot gorgeous girlfriend Bought tickets To my very 1st concert Many years after I was a Working Stage Hand That we've actually paid to see & that was When Cheap Trick opened for ZZ Top who I also have worked for Haha & in 2004 The Cheapest was a $10.00 Cheap Trick T-Shirt! That ended up being the bestestest one! So w that I was so fortunate enough! To have helped set up 1 very cool concert With Aerosmith & Cheap Trick & w being asked To help w Bun E Carlos' Drum Set Made/s me feel A lil proud! A lil honored per say To have been asked To do so + for well over 250 major concerts For other bands like AC/DC Alice Cooper Rod Stewart Elton John Billy Idol Def Leppard Headpins Our Mother Earth Poison Motley Crue ZZ Top Van Halen w Sammy H Supertramp Guns n Roses & many many more! But the main thing is Not only did I get to help set up 2! Of Joey Kramer's Aerosmith Drum Sets I also got to help out w a 3rd! With Bun E Carlos' Drum Set! So w that I ended up going home At like 1:00 In the blessed A.M.! Haha After Working what's called The IN & Show Call & The OUT & I went home w 1 Aerosmith Honkin' on the Local Crew T-Shirt + my 2004 Aerosmith Working Stage Hand Pass + I got handed Another Pass cause my Roadie liked my hard work As a bonus per say So don't tell on me With the others! OK? OK! Haha & w that I'd do it All over again! In a friggin' heart beat! So thank you Bun E Carlos as you made my whole morning/afternoon + my whole evening! In other words The whole friggin' day! By coming to my beloved Saskatoon & I have a KZbin Channel called - Ole Rosssillly Drum Covers - & you are one of the main reasons! On why I did so & why I built what my drum tech calls The most cool Yet so massive! So over attentive! A drum set & it's my used New to me KISS/Eric Singer endorsed Pearl Ex-Export Drum Set w a few extra added pieces/parts & w that said I have made just a couple of Cheap Trick's Top 10 Hit Drum Covers & that's to honor Cheap Tricks' Bun E Carlos! & of course Cheap Trick as well & I think I it really sucks! That Bun E Carlos' got the boot! Still not happy! With that decision + as I remember Wasn't Bun E Carlos 1 of the 2 original band members Who started the band Now watch I'll be w wr wrr wrrrr wroo wrooo wroooo wrooooo WRONG! There! I said it! Haha + Thank You so very much! For the ooooo soooo awesome! A memories & ML&RAlways 😁😇

@@karengarrison3666 Not at all. First time June 79 riding live album and comming home to 4th July 79. The home team Cheap Trick coming home. They were my favorite band. But on that day “ the singer turned his head to the crowd! AC/DC preceded the Baby’s. I truly felt sorry for them as a very serviceable rock band. Truth is AC/DC routed Cheap Trick right outta Rockford speedway. It’s very disappointing to see such nepotism in a rock band. Sure Rick and Robin do the “ heavy lifting” as guitar and singer, but even the times PETERSON left it changed the bands chemistry. I sa that at the 83 SA show with Peterson absence. The replacement of a member of hall of fame band happens a lot in rock bands. They die, go to rehab, ect But band chemistry is altered. It’s not the same band. Fact is they had an edge that started to decline at Dream Police. Instead of being an Aero smith type hard rock band they shifted into beatle wanna bee. It disappointed me as a midwesterner it would have been nice for Cheap Trick to rock out. But for every stiff competition cut they had at least 2-3 ballads or longed to write the next Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. That’s my opinion KAREN. I’m free to express. It’s only rock and roll anyway. I went on th see Cheap Trick on multiple instances. First year of active duty they Zplayed San Antonio, Tx at Hemisphere. Saw at least another 3 times the last was in Austin, Tx. I’ve been to a lot of shows.

Sad that Pete and Tom didn't hold it together 'cause eventually the court escrow, in 1985, paid the monies to their estates. Manic Depression (Bi-Polar) sucks but their are meds that calm the possessed. Just a shame the whole story. Same escrow situation existed for the Beatles; Apple monies split 4 ways.

To this day it continues to piss me off that Gene Simmons talks disparagingly about Black Oak Arkansas. In more than one interview I have heard him call BOA a "B band" and that they weren't that good or successful. The hell they weren't! BOA was great! I think that's how Gene Simmons wanted to further himself and his band, by criticizing other bands.
