did yours run good straight out the box,i bought 31293 just dcc and its aefully slow yo start. ive had a look at cv's but no joy,think its loco or chip issue. you dont happen to have cv 2 3,4,5,6 settings do you. sound is really good but bit too much for me.

Is there a proper cold start option where the engine starts on only a few cylinders like the real thing?
@legomanbiffosounds2 ай бұрын
We have done varios recordings of Class 31s over the years, None of them started that way, the loco to do that I can only assume, has to not have been running for a while or not have been primed fully before starting.
@alyciamarrison29163 ай бұрын
Spirax valve what doues that do??
@legomanbiffosounds3 ай бұрын
Spirax Valves purge/drail the water from the air system, without this you would have less brake force. Charlie
@legomanbiffosounds2 ай бұрын
The purge the water out of the locos air system, draining the water makes the braking far more efficient.

Where does the speaker sit in a Hornby 50, as the space is very limited under the 2 small fans, (recessed roof on my Hornby 50, Agincourt) 👍
@legomanbiffosounds5 ай бұрын
Do away with the working fans, glue the Fan Mouldings under the grills ,then there is loads of room for 2and EM1 speaker OR 2 X 25X25X7 Speakers, but the sound levels need adjusting to suit this combination. We can fit and do all this for you. PM me on [email protected].

I recently purchased this model from another seller and been having a mixed experience. Think the motor is causing stuttering at slow speeds so sent it away for testing repair but it's come back in the same state. It has legomannbiffo sound decoder but unable to get f16, 17 or 18 to work and never received a decoder cv list which isn't particularly helpful. Any ideas on where I could be going wrong, the model looks great however. My collection of trains I've purchased are from various excellent suppliers including a few from DC kits. :) I have a 156 which is incredible.

Have you fitted it with an ESU Decoder, as the motor in this model is a cheap Hornby one, a better decoder (ESU) can be tuned in to work in the model. Charlie. E.Mail me on [email protected]

The Function list for all Legomanbiffo projects is i=-on our ordering pages, so it is there when tou order the decoders, it suggests downloading them, if you cannot access the list, e.mail me on [email protected]. The instruction sheet that comes with our decoders suggests doing a CV54=0 Motor calibration, this should help with these cheap Hornby motors. Charlie

It's a big characteristic that the 91s always have a very smooth start. The ESUs straight out of the box are not great at this. Might be worth replicating this in future versions, the sudden take off kills the illusion. Neil.
