Who would want to be this goon's teammate? I wouldn't. It's one thing to play tough with hits and chirp a bit at others, but to go for a guy's eye trying to end his career? Totally disgusting and no room in the game for that. I'd give him a season ending suspension with no pay for that kind of crap and may be more banned from the NHL.

On the SportsNet telecast in Canada. Chris Cuthbert.. THE DYNASTY WILL BE DENIED!!!! AND A NEW LEGACY BEGINS!!!! THEY'VE REACHED THE SUMMIT! AND THE AVALANCHE ARE 2022 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!

My winning ritual for the Avs' entire Stanley Cup run, were 3 drinks. A shot of Jägermeister, the official shot of the NHL, and then continue with a Coors Light. Which WAS the official beer of the NHL (Now it's Bud Light/Budweiser), and to finish it off with a Pepsi. The official soft drink of both the Avalanche AND the entire NHL! The Jager shot i take is strictly - AND I MEAN STRICTLY!!!... for the Stanley Cup Playoffs if the Avs are in it! And I take the one shot of jäger for every win the Avs recorded in the playoffs until they won the Cup.

ALL 3 Stanley Cups my hometown town has won, I lived in Westminster. After the 2001 Stanley Cup over New Jersey, my parents moved me & my siblings to Longmont in December 2001, but was still at Standley Lake High School my Junior year, but was pulled out of Standley Lake and went to Skyline my senior year. And in my 20 years in Longmont, the Avalanche made it to the playoffs 10 times, only making it to the 2nd round 6 times, but never past the 2nd round. And then work 2 jobs to make my way back to Westminster and then the last day of 2021, New Year's Eve, I made my move back to Westminster when I landed my apartment about a couple miles from the Westminster Promenade. And was watching the Avs entire Stanley Cup run from the Bender's Bar and Grill that's connected with the Ice Centre at the Promenade. To see the Avs win the Stanley Cup again 21 years later, I thought to myself, this was why I left Longmont!

Just the image of team captain Gabriel Landeskog grabbing the Stanley Cup from deputy commissioner, Bill Daly, who was filling in for the head Commissioner, Gary Bettman who couldn't make the trip after he tested positive for the coronavirus, Gabe grabbing, but posing for a picture with the Cup & Bill Daly as fireworks were shooting off behind them is always a sight to see, before Gabe skates OFF AND LIFTS IT OVER HIS HEAD!!!!!!

In my hometown of Westminster, Colorado, Denver7 was the place to watch on TV, and was watching from Bender's Bar and Grill that's connected with the Ice Centre at the Westminster Promenade when all this was unfolding.

No way it can be the goalies fault if they allow 60 shots on his net. The Otter played the rest of the team were dancing out there.

Avs are a bunch of pansies. Colorado sucks. 1 year wonders. Also, that non icing call was #1 bullshit and you are lucky the Bolts were so beat up on that series. Also, the refs were totally for Avs and NHL did not want Tampa having 3 peat.

Thanks I appreciate it! Other than pulling the highest resolution source material I could find, I remember doing a lot of color correction and glow editing per clip to try and make it pop. Definitely recommend messing around with different filters and level adjustments.

I was 32 when we won this one. As that clock hit zero and the players came pouring out on to the ice, I was instantly taken back 21 years to when Ray Bourque was mobbed after winning Game 7 of the '01 Cup Final, which at age 11 was just the coolest thing to watch. Hard to not get emotional!

The thing is, if he had kept his head, he was probably the Lightning player on the ice most likely to make a play and save his team. But instead he threw a temper tantrum and cost them any last chance of tying it.
