Please consider reviewing the technical aspects of your instructional videos to promote better posture and hand positions. The influence your app has on aspiring pianists is significant, and small adjustments can make a huge difference in shaping future generations of healthy, skilled players.

've downloaded it on my smartphone. It recognizes my Bluetooth CME WIDI-Master dongle connected to my Roland FP-4 keyboard quite well. However, the app sometimes stops receiving note inputs, even though the debugging window still reacts to the MIDI events. Restarting the app can help, but it fails again after loading another sheet or changing some settings in the mixer. Despite these issues, for a beta version, it's already awesome. Although the web version suits my needs best (I struggle without the page flip view), I will use the app for specific needs.

Every penny I've invested in Piano Marvel has been worth it. In two years, I've gone from playing by ear to being a Level 4D sight-reading performer, even though I was already able to write basic arrangements for piano. The Christmas Challenge increased my practice time and motivation, even though many of the challengers are way better than I will ever be, partly due to health issues slowing down my progress. But I earned hundreds of tickets for charity, and it's a privilege to play the dozens of user-uploaded Xmas arrangements. Each of these has something new to teach me. You're doing well. This is tricky for a new player. If your hands are overlapping and sharing keys, one hand should be playing "in the trees," meaning higher up on the keys, and the other hand should play lower down. Dont tilt you hand over, keep it parallel to the keys. Practice in small sections. You got it man.

Nice. I like short and to the point videos. I do not have an 'input' port on my yamaha keyboard. Only a midi-computer usb output port which connects to my computer usb port. What is your keyboard 'input' port used for? Does that allow you to mix computer headphone audio with your keyboard audio, for example for background audio?

Only kinda vaguely resembles it in some aspects. It is not uncommon for people to use repeating arpeggios. And the same cord progressions are routinely used over and over again by different people. There is nothing new under the sun. Even hideous cacophony is repeated over and over by the likes of Schoenberg.

For those looking for a free and open-source music scanner app, I found myself satisfied with Audiveris' capabilities. I converted dozens of low-quality scanned sheets with it, but it requires a lot of mastery and some post adjustments with MuseScore Studio. I've been a long-time user of this notation app since version 2. The MuseScore commercial website is both unsettling and useful at the same time. It is not true that you are "ready to go" on Windows just with installing the piano Marvel plugin, at least not in the case of my laptop, and I did nothing fancy beforehand with my computer. If you want to connect a digital piano - like in my case the Kawai ES-110 - via MIDI via Bluetooth, you will also need to install an app like "MIDIberry" and also another app like "loopMIDI" to route the MIDI messages inside Windows, so that it becomes visible for the Piano Marvel plugin, otherwise the list of selectable MIDI devices inside the "Instruments Settings" page of the app will stay just empty. Other, similar apps will do the same in a similar way, but these two apps worked for me. The developers of Piano Marvel made at some point in time these settings on their PCs but most probably have forgotten to tell you about this because to them is something so natural to do that they cannot imagine that people can have a hard time setting this up correctly. 1. Make sure that the Bluetooth of the digital piano is turned on, but in most cases this is the default setting. For this refer to your digital pianos manual. 2. In Windows go to the systems settings and there to the bluetooth devices setting and connect with your digital piano. 3. Open the loopMIDI App and in case there is no MIDI connection yet , create a new one, just by clicking the little "+"-button next to the left-down corner. In this case, just leave the standard name loopMIDI Port and there is also no need to tweak any of the other settings. We are done now in this app. Just minimize it. 4. Open the MIDIberry app and you should see an screen where you can choose you MIDI input and you MIDI output device: - In the input section, your digital piano should show up. Click on it, so that it is selected as the input source (it will be highlighted with a darker grey color and its name and some other settings will be shown in the settingsbox right to the list of available input sources). Now press a key on your digital piano and in the input monitor it should be shown that the computer received a MIDI message from your piano. - Next, in the output section, the MIDI port of MIDIloop should show up. Click on it, so that it is selected as the output source (again, it will be highlighted with a darker grey color, and will be shown in the settings box right to the list of available output sources). We are done now in this app. Just minimize it. 5. Launch the Piano Marvel app. In the app, open the menu (button in the upper-left corner), go to "Instruments Settings". Now the loopMIDI port should be selectable as input for the Piano Marvel app. Hope I could help someone with getting the app to work on his/her computer. And now, happy practicing! 🙂

Hello I have an older Yamaha CVP-700 digital piano, and I am trying to connect my ipad to it to use the Skoove app to play and learn music. I have it currently connected to MIDI IN and MIDI OUT 5-pin connection on the digital piano to the USB C on my ipad, but the app doesnt play along with my piano (not recognising my piano keys) do i have it connected wrong, and should i need to connected to the HOST connection on the Yamaha piano instead?
