These cars require so much work to bring back to life. You did a phenomenal job. There were two rotted out ones for sale near me. No one purchased them for more than a year now, just because there is so much bodywork to do. A shame. I hope you enjoy your car still. Even 3 years after this video.

Hello ; magnificent restoration work on a magnificent automobile. You did an amazing job !! I am going to start renovating my 1974 XJ6 4.2L, which I have owned for over 20 years, and your very detailed video will help me a lot. On the other hand, I fear not achieving such this level of quality... Bravo, thank you and enjoy good and long trips with your cars !

Did you end up fitting the chrome screen surrounds into the rubbers front and rear? They look odd without those chrome surrounds. I was wondering why you didn’t take the opportunity to convert the car to left hand steering given its home is in the Czech Republic now given how much you stripped the car down. A heck of a lot of work and well done. I had a Daimler in a very similar colour. The only detraction from the whole thing was the looping of the soundtrack. A bit of mixing and editing would have rounded it out nicely with some similar tracks.

I already have the chrome frames around the windows. RHD annoys me.

@@fru11 ….Hi, you should re-edit the video showing the car as it is now. I’m in Australia so RHD is our market anyway. You did a stunning job on that XJC. I see a lot of other Coventry product too. The Jaguar bug bit you young? I’ve had a few too over the years, but in a total change of direction I have a C124 Mercedes-Benz coupe now that needs what you did to your XJC. I’ll be over in Europe later this year so I’ll have to get used to LHD for a while!! Enjoyed your vid. All the very best.

@@OrnumCR Thank you. I only like jaguars, I have a lot of them. When do you start Mercedes Benz repair?
@OrnumCR8 ай бұрын
@@fru11 …I am working on the Benz slowly. I had Jaguar and Daimler cars of one sort or another for nearly 30 years from 1990 on. I sold the last car I had, a 1974 Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas in about the same blue as your coupe with the same colour interior in late 2020. For a couple of years I’ve had no classic cars. Recently I bought the Benz and I’m now in the local MB car club. For years I was in Daimler and Jaguar car clubs but I needed a break. I did that, now I’m ready to start on just one car. Still love the Coventry product but enjoying the engineering around the Stuttgart product…

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party and Gretas FFF movement gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now these green heroes want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions- and smoke crime :-(

@@fru11 You are right, I stand corrected. Indeed in Daimler version NO coupes in LHD, Jaguars only. So yes, if you accept Daimler only, then RHD - which is the moment where I would chose for Jaguar after all.

For a long time now I have loved this car I think it more lovely than the e type , you have done a most fantastic job fella , always remember the daimlers are cooler than jaguars even if everything is the nearly same in some models , even if people say" what is a daimler ? " , you can tell them that your car is more exclusive than a jag , for a start Hynek the grille and boot handle are much more pretty , I am very jealous of this car , I bet it smells nice in there, it is a shame we do not have " smellovision " or at the very least " scratch and sniff cards " that they used to promote perfume and aftershave , once again Hynek awesome result for all your hard work .
