Great video. I just got a roland dual zone trigger with this module. I do a lot of rimshots and I'm getting the rim sound only and not both. Is it possible to get both sounds at the same time?

@abrahamsotelo6188 Unfortunately, I do not believe that is possible. It's one or the other.

What have you set your output gain to? +2 or +4dbs?
@ehrinlanthony4 ай бұрын
I keep it at 0db. Never had anyone tell me they needed more or less so I haven't messed with it. If your mixer needs more input, you can adjust it higher.

Thanks a lot for this, Managed to get a lot more out of my Ghost piezo (on solid body). Suggest you give a try to Gibson 1969 J45 (Fishman) IR profile. This is what got me the best result, even better than the Guild

So is there no tone knob on the guitars with acoustic saddles?
@ehrinlanthony Жыл бұрын
Normally they have a tone knob, but I never use it so I had it removed and replaced with piezo volume.

Can you tell us where you got that two pipe clamps? 🙏🏽
This is the best video on calibrating a TM-2 with triggers/pads that I've come across so far. Most videos just tell us what each setting is for. You actually showed it in real time while striking the pad. The way you explained the sensitivity setting with the velocity going up to VEL////127 made it make more sense. Thanks

Is it possible to assign the sounds/pads to separate outputs? My kick and snare for example needs different channels to be mixed properly. Can’t find this feature anywhere!
@ehrinlanthony2 жыл бұрын
The TM2 only has stereo outs. You can assign sounds to one or the other by panning hard left and right. I.e., pan your kick hard left and snare hard right. They'll come out of two separate outputs.

Depending on the gig I use two different setups. For full in-ears, I use a Behringer X32 Rack. When we're using backline or have floor wedges, I run the click channel into a Behringer MicroMON MA400 so I can have click in my ears without it going to front of house.

Hey Ehrin, great video. A question. Is there a possibility that after playing a backing track, the next one will be loaded directly, which I then just have to start? Or can you get to the next song by hitting the pad? Or do I always have to press my hand on the tm2 to go to the next song? Greetings from Germany

I have not found a way to change the backing track without pushing the plus and minus buttons to navigate to a different patch.

Hi there what programme do you use to link your backing track and click track thanks
@ehrinlanthony2 жыл бұрын
I use Reaper. I create the backing track and pan everything to the right. Then I create a "drum" track that is just a stick click and pan that to the left. Render the track out at 16 bit, 44.1khz and load it on to the SD card. Let me know if this helps.

Do you create a different kit for every song in your set? I want to do something like this where I have 1 pad to launch backing tracks with click panned out R L and then another pad with one shot samples.

Yes, one patch per song in the set.

hi, I have recently got the TM 2 and I wanted to know if to use the effects (distortion, compressor, flanger, etc.) it is necessary to select a sound from the control unit or the real sound of the drum can be used
@ehrinlanthony3 жыл бұрын
You can use the onboard effects on either the built in sounds or sounds you import.

I do not believe the Octopad had that capability. Look into either the SPD-SX or the TM 2.

@@keithlesterwilliamstheorch6898 Yes. You can trigger the sounds directly from the SPD 30 via midi. You will need to get the audio from the TM2 back out either with another mixer input or the mix in input of the SPD 30.

Thanks for the video! I just purchased the tm2 with 1 dual zone snare trigger and a kick trigger and Roland trigger bar. My band currently uses an iPod for playing backing tracks however I'm wanting to simplify and use the tm2 for this. How would I setup to have multiple songs/backing tracks for live and be able to still have different sounds assigned to triggers and bar for each song?
@ehrinlanthony4 жыл бұрын
You can do that but you will only be able to use your snare trigger as a single zone. The TM-2 only has 4 inputs. 2 of those inputs are used by the BT-1 and the other two can be used by two separate single zone triggers or one dual zone trigger. Here's a video with a similar setup but instead of the snare trigger I use an auxiliary kick pedal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2m5qKObf9mbd6M You would set up your connections like this linked video and then set up your patches as in the above video. Each patch would be a different song and you can change the backing track and the sounds attached to your triggers by navigating to different patches.

Can we load kick and snare samples via SD card and save it as one of the presets?
@ehrinlanthony4 жыл бұрын
Yes. You use the same steps to assign the sound from the SD section and that will assign it to the pad/trigger and save it to the preset you are currently using.
