I’m sure it has been searched for in a decades since, but, hopefully, someday, somebody will uncover the uncut final recording of this song, with the extended guitar outro, not faded. That would be a gold mine find.

I love the song, I love the solo which I think it's one better structured soloes in pop music history; but " while my guitar gently weeps" came first.

This guy J.Y. Lee hits superbly every note what Tony Peluso did when they performed this concert. Very very good lead guitar solo. One of the best I heard from this young man.

this is one of the most notable Carpenters tune and one of my all time favorites that guitar solo sold me to it completely and Karen nailed it just unbelievable Yes a number one record, RIP Karen!
