May Max forever be remembered. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have lost many pets myself. Over the years. It's hard every time. But you never forget. The times you've had.

Hello. I have the techno, robotic kitten, and I read your instruction manual, but I have another question. I know that you can just push the mouth button on her to feed her, but I have misplaced her fish toy. What else can I do to play with her?

Perhaps someone will read this: I’m planning to repair my unit, so I need schematics and also how to make a new remote. I’m also looking for information about the original designers involved with it. Since it was made in 1984, perhaps most if not everyone is now deceased… but hey I can hope.

I was just listening to a podcast interview with a man named Gregg Squires. According to him, he was an engineer on the Maxx Steele robot project. I hope that helps.

Would you consider selling this one? I haven't found it for sale anywhere else, so I understand if you don't want to sell. I have managed to collect a lot of the old obscure silver robot dogs from the 90's/2000's era but this is one of the only ones I haven't got yet. Please let me know, thank you!! I love using your website to find great photos and info about robots.

If I remember correctly (I had this as a child more than 30 years ago), Dead-eye had 4 modes of operation: 1. Stand still. 2. Rotate. 3. Move forward. 4. Fire disks (what you hear in the movie is when he tries to fire, but his load is empty). Each click on Cricket's head toggles to the next mode. It was very fun :)

I had one the concept was great but I ended up covering the motion sensor on the nose to stop it from activating. You could turn off the voice when it detects you, but if would still blink. Gave it to a friend about a year later back in 2011.

Really odex 2 had a really nice design. Take today's tech and keep the design and you'd have a quick and very stable omni directional robot. Odex would be taking those stairs quickly indeed!

I had this! It was at my parent's place until a couple years ago when we cleaned out the place after mom died. Even as a little kid I was "amused" by the fake plastic antenna on both the "telesonic commander" and Tobar himself. For those who don't know, Tobar would react to any loud sound, including but not limited to the click from the "commander". He just alternated between "go straight" and "turn in a tight right circle" so there wasn't much control, not even a "stop"
