My uncles dog hated the cat too. When there was a thunderstorm outside he would growl at the cat. Thinking it was most likely responsible for all the scary flashes and claps.

Those are such smart dogs, I miss my cairn. He died, but peacefully. He had a happy long life, he was 20 years old. Amazing.

20 years holy cow! My cairn passed away in October at 16 years old. She was starting to slow down from age and some lumps. She's in a better place now.

My parents raised three of them. With good lifetime care and specialized vet care towards the end, they can easily live 12 years and our longest reached about 17 years although he ended up needing insulin shots and died of seizures.

awe my athen theeens (Athena) looks the same he's so handsome my Athena I think is around 10 maybe a little older not sure we found her 8 years ago all dirty and oily we took her in and she's been with us since :) these dogs are awesome

I have a grizzly colored cairn named Rocky the dog he almost sounds like a cat saying meow sometimes. He has been my best friend for 14 years and I treasure every moment with him. His favorite activity is catching crabs at the beach and shaking them till their legs go flying off. I love him more than anything.

Reminds me of my old Cairn Terrier Gabby, she was the same color and sounded just like Cole. She passed away around this time a few years ago at the age of 16. I miss you Gabby.

I just lost my Ebby she was a black cains terrier mixed breed. She gave my family so many lovely moments, in fact when she passed away the first weeks felt so cold and empty we wanted a dog so bad just to fill that missing part but we didn't, thankfully too we were experiencing grief and just needed to let some time pass.

Felt like what I wrote could have been taken as dark so hear a little nice thing to share with you. Ebby would sleep on my mums bed and each morning when mum woke up she would play fight all excited to finally go down stairs and share mum's toast. We used the pillows to play fight back because Ebby's bites were a bit too ephusiastic.😄
