Sorry but when one dog tries to sniff another dog's butt it's a sign of trying to be dominant and a lot of the time it leads to a fight.
@bordercollie1140Ай бұрын
I just have to say there is no way on earth that I would allow that behaviour from the small dog. It's just as well the GS is so chilled because one bite from the GS would literally kill the small dog and it wouldn't be the Schnauzer's fault it would be yours. All dogs need manners. I hate to come across as a killjoy but you're giving the little dog all the wrong messages about what he should and shouldn't be doing. Sorry.

Really enjoyed that, very well done and you've got yourself one hell of a great dog.

COTA THE GIANT SCHNAUZER IS A SMART DOG. AND I LOVE THIS DOG VERY MUCH. PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE WITH FIRM COMMAND AS BEING MEAN. BECAUSE THIS BREED REQUIRES A STRONG LEADERSHIP. OTHERWISE, HE WILL THINK HIMSELF AS AN ALPHA MALE. AND THAT WILL NOT END WELL FOR BOTH OF US.

Surely not a good pet trainer. Treats and don’t do correction is the way to go, just reward the good behavior. And you can’t just yell sit and expect him to know what you mean - he doesn’t know that and he doesn’t so Don’t have yell at him and smack him. I think a mile his first day was way too much for 6-8 week old puppy Anyone training a dog for home knows you should never smack or push at a dog face or you will get bad behavior. This guy will end up with an aggressive, mean dog you can’t trust because he didn’t get trained right. And will end up being giving up. It was nice he did the water and food and pads, but I hope he never uses them for potty. He will decide if he can lay on them anytime, and potties on them - it will be confusing. Put a potty pad separate from say a towel to lay on. That’s what I would do. But as he gets older, would not have potty pads inside at all. I have never seen a well trained or easy to trust potty trained dog that uses pads. It’s better to keep them close to you bed at night and take out like at 11 when you go to bad, then get up once or twice in the night for potty break and then first thing when he walks up up in morning. Crating them from the beginning is the best thing for all dogs. And to keep them out of your bed or bedroom for at least the first year. And make going in the crate fun. Treats in and he will go in on his own. Dint push, yell, it’s not punishment. Make it just big enough to lay down but not so he can wonder and get away from his bed to potty. Gradually make the crate bug. You have to shrink the size with plastic bin behind him ie the back of the crate. Put smaller and smaller ones in until he will bark to come out. Always take out first thing morning and last thing at night so they don’t start peeing because they can’t hold it. Take out right away after waking up. If you let him out from crate and you play with him, etc, I can guarantee he will pee. It’s natural to do so. He is a baby. And lastly, take him out after eating, I wait about 10 minutes, and then head outside so there is no accident. When dogs pee and poop in the house, it’s your fault, not theirs. I have had dogs never housebroken at 5 years old and it’s like why? It’s the owners fault, they are too lazy, or distracted, or have other things to do rather than the dog being the primary source of responsibility . And if you don’t have the time etc to do this, don’t get a puppy. Puppies need a lot of attention. It’s like having babies, don’t have them unless you can afford them and you have the time yourself to deal with them. In addition before anyone gets a giant schnauzer, please understand these dog mature much later than other large dogs. It takes a lot of patience. he will think you go after everyone that extends a hand as he will be head shy.

That is your opinion, it is a hot topic in many dog breeds. i have 2 miniature schnauzers with natural ears and tails because they were puppy mill breeder dogs. That is where your uproar and angry should be ad😂dressing how horrible they are treated. My standard schnauzer has natural ears but docked tail, most breeders, will not sell with natural Tails. 😊
@COTAGiantSchnauzer8 ай бұрын
COTA, our beloved dog, was born in Ohio and adopted from a reputable breeder registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), as shown in the first video. Although docking the dog's tail is a common practice, despite our preference against it, COTA came to us with his tail already docked.

Thank you MatthewRamsey-ku9uq. Cota Giant Schnauzer, was about 12 months old at the time. Despite still being a puppy, he naturally had a protective instinct towards his pack. Known for their intelligence and well-rounded nature, this breed is impressive.
