It's not "additive distortion" that makes it sound best (at least not only that), it's the highest resolution aside from quarter inch tape! Saying it's additive distortion is like saying, the cake tast good because I dropped it on the ground and the dirt gives it that taste (terrible analogy I know)! TOTAL audio capture, vibration IS sound! Your witness!😅

Some nice things were said here, mainly about good people, but there are also nonsensical things being said. The guy in the blue shirt claimed that vinyl conveys more musical "nuance" than digital. This is pure bunk, and is not the least bit supported by engineering reason. Also, audio cannot convey and elicit emotion. Music does that. I've been to many hifi shows, THE Show included, and I can't count how many times I've heard equipment demos playing extremely dull, uninteresting, BORING music. It's always obvious during such demos that they're more interested in having people listen to the equipment than conveying any kind of emotion.

Michael, hello.I found this video, it was recorded many years ago.But I decided to write.I have constructed a template, which, like a compass with a level set on it, I draw a tangential line.First, exactly on millimeter paper, mounted on a spindle, which I attach to a disk, which I also attach to the baseboard in advance, then I draw a pencil, which is in the template, the line of movement of the stylus with the effective length set on it.And then I lower my hand to the line in several places and adjust the needle. Then all other adjustments.Sincerely from Russia.

super neat until the bit about MQA. That part didn't age well - we can just stream normal pcm and not pay the MQA tax.

What's the cost of furnishing a 150 sqft room that way? My speakers cost 3000 USD, My amp about 1500 USD. I sit on a 100 USD chair. How do they compare, in terms of cost?

Yes! Bill Dudleston was kind enough to bring them in for Richard. They go back a long way and have great respect for one another. It was a true moment to see real camaraderie and togetherness in the industry.

They are actually a pair of Legacy loudspeakers that Bill Dudleston personally brought in for Richard's seminar. It was a great moment to see two giants in the audio industry work together in support of one another.

Fantastic documentary that has a soul in it. It shows us the work and dedication of many professionals (musicians, sound engineers, audio manufacturers, hi fi dealers and sellers ) to capture and bring to our homes the magical experience of a musical presentation. Music that nourishes and touches our soul. No wonder part of this was filmed at Alma Music and Audio. Congratulations

I have had a pair of 2C since appr 1992. They were hard to get in Sweden at that time so I bought them in Oslo. Never have I regrettet buying them. They are most likely the most musical loudspekers that You could buy. Not the most detailed, not With the brightest Treble, etc etc. But the most musical.

if you sent your 1Ci speakers out for people like Andrew Robinson etc on KZbin, being that they start at less than many other $2k speakers, you could and would increase sales. I have no audio stores in my entire state. When I buy a set a speakers, it will be based of many online/ KZbin reviews. I don't have any other choice other than to drive for 8 hours to the closest audio store.

Too much compression with a way way too fast release time. Ironic how this is a panel of legendary speaker designers at an "audio university" and the audio is so distracting.

It's a bit ironic that the "high end" audio community seems to consistently put out videos with some of the crappiest audio to be found on KZbin. Is this the case of the plumber who won't fix his own bathroom plumbing?
