Again, he was talking about weening off them and doing less and less. If he could go from as many as he was taking (then we thought he was at 4/5 a day) and cutting down more and more to 2/3, then again and again until he could go without it a day, then a couple days he wouldn’t withdraw.

This reminds me of the countless talks I’ve had with friends and family. This shit ain’t worth losing them over. I mean damn, they were just trying to get me to at least wean off. Not even go completely cold turkey and they would still be there for me. Luckily, I can say I still have my family who was there for me through it all. But I’ve lost a lot of loved ones from what comes with the addiction. I was on both sides of the gate. Addicted and trying to help the addicted. Never a good combo.
