As SBI tried to burn game industry to the ground, the western game devs are defend less and already burned to the game, most of the western game titles full of woke BS, games are not fun and characters are ultimate ugly

Chinese games are winning. Not Taiwanese and Japanese who go all in on DEI because US Democrats say so.

Actually Asian games are making a comeback. Upto 2006 Japanese just broke the videogame market and were on equal footing with western devs. But considering Japan is much smaller than USA+ Europe. It was a big win. But slowly Japanese gaming suffered, since they didn't look beyond playstation and Nintendo. PC gaming just got better. Japanese just didnt cared about it. and by 2012. Japs were far behind. On the flip side Western devs were very innovative back than. They had corporate backing. But eventually Japs started looking beyond PlayStation and Nintendo and moved to PC. Korean Devs infact promoted PC gaming big time. Now China is also into that space. While western corps took over the industry. Creativity and innovation were not promoted but sales, DLC and remakes were promoted. Copy paste became a theme to make quick games and money. This resulted in an Industry today which is making very shitty game on high budgets.

If western game studios are eager to get out of business, other world is only happy to take their place. Go on with your woke bs guys $)

Before you say the "east" I think you need to really reconsider should you include Japan. We probably know what happened to the western gaming. It's the DEI virus and Japan/Sony get infected already. Of cos Sony is now a US company so we will see how deep the rotting in the Japan gaming to make any conclusion.

Advantages of Asia: 1. demographic: size do matter, east asian market also has a few characteristic; highly urbanised, a good ratio of 30s with spending power, cultural uniformity. 2. localised media: a healthy local media can both help promote games as well as provide talent. no doubt the anime industry help feed the games industry. 3. Sony: around the time of PS3, Sony begin taking notice of indie games, and they supported the growth of indie studio by providing their kit FOC. 4. Tencent: after investing in Epic, Tencent heavily push unreal technology into Asia, massively growing the available talent pool of people familiar with leading edge engine. Disadvantages of West: 1. overfinancialisation: most major studio are public company or has some weird holding company setup. this means profits are going to interest payment and dividend. 2. overly unionised media: strike in the media industry tend to have spilt over effect to the game industry. 3. cancel culture: lead to bullying and good people quiting the industry. this isn't only a DEI issue, DEI is just a very small part of this. i seen poc bullied of a job too. 4. Microsoft: they no longer support small developers, preferring to spend their gold buying big studio which lead to more of point number 1. I worked in gamedev in Asia. I know alot of dev hate working for Tencent. but as the chinese saying goes, someone has to plant the tree in the past for us to enjoy the shade today. its like IBM, not many use IBM computers today but without them, US tech industry would be alot smaller today. but of course most of the gamers will just scream OH ITS DEI rather then to look at industry problems, the decline of Western studio occur well before wokism... remember the guy that created the Sims... he left EA a long time ago because he could already see the problem in those "too big to fail" studios even back then, but it was the HD era that really started to break the industry... and since it allows franchise eat up a big chuck of the market. it does not encourage anyone to create anything new.

Since I was a child I was way more attracted to eastern games than western ones, before even knowing they were asian or etc, they were always more fun, creative, imersive, cool and overall way more awesome

Lot of factual errors. I do not sign a EULA to watch a vhs and no online server can take away my ability to watch or sell it. The movie on the vhs is probably copyrighted and I do not have a legal right to copy it and sell the copy, but that is not the same as a licensed product.
