Yah Ryan's a slacker! haha just kidding. It gets really crazy at RCCB and we had poor mobile audio back then. We are making plans to attend in 2026.I will be there doing just interviews and content as the focus, not racing. Promise to get you on.

Major talent! Just hope she is not over “pressured” by the attenttion. I believe she will not be!!!! The only bummer about being a sponsored driver now is that restricts the entry into SC B Mod & Street Stock at the Chili Bowl.

This is great guys! I saw some of the posts but I didn't know the story. I love it! My daughter is 12 too and is in her second season tearing it up in off road buggy. we have a program at our local track called drive like a girl. we have a group of girls that are up and coming in rc. Im the coach and I teach them how to work on their cars, race craft, and anything race related. love seeing the girls getting into race at a competitive level! our track is Diehard RC in Monroe Wa.

Talking about sc mods but theyre not even a class this year. 😢 Biggest thing for tech is don't take it too seriously the first time going through tech for practice. The tech guys are good humored and have done it enough over the years and theyre just there to let you know whether or not your car passes. They will give you every opportunity to correct whatever it is and they'll let you know what to expect. The only thing that will FLAT OUT DQ you is battery voltage. 8.49 and below, you get an opportunity to run it down while standing in line. 8.50 or above and you're DQ'ed for that round. If there's ANYTHING you have questions on in your program, go up and ask them early or ask a fellow racer.

So, I plan to go to Chili bowl in 2026, I plan to run mod sprint, and sc bmod. I’ve ran all traxxas cars, I’ve tried a different car with my AFX, and didn’t like it, so I’m wanting to keep the traxxas cars, so how should I set them up for a track like that. I don’t have a big enough track to match it to Tulsa, so how would I go about doing that (it’s josh)
@tjgreer94192 ай бұрын
Soften the car up. If you can run a loose dirt track near you, usually softening the car is best!

@ gotcha it’s currently at 40wt, so drop it down to 30wt if possible

@ maybe only change the right front. And see how it handles. Usually a pound lighter springs and raise the rear ride heights so you get a good roll.

Pretty spot on and agree with everything you said. Reason I got out of racing 35 years ago. No one wanted to help anyone, and it was a money game. Unfortunately, I see it every weekend now, even in an amateur class. We're supposed to have fun not constantly get your ass handed to you due to not learning from the fast guys.

You nailed it Michael. Hopefully more and more will come back to the hobby and find drivers at their tracks inspired to help others. I recommend getting a 1RC car and see if that gets you reved to be back in the hobby. Great price point, very competitive cars and the spirit of RC to have fun racing toy cars is the creedo.

You should only get sponsored if you are a winner. And it should cover all your race costs. Why is a sponsor get you discounts on parts but you are expected to market the product in return? That’s not a sponsorship
@rcuradio11 ай бұрын
The marketing the product is fine as you are receiving something in the relationship. Giving your personal opinion o product fine but that is not sponsorship. It should be called something else as Murf mentions. Being an "influencer" aligned to get people to buy your product and the effort it takes to do that is a whole different dynamic. - Dave RCU Radio

After watching your videos with Justin, I wish I would of known more about him while I was at the Chili Bowl that im learning now after the fact. The Chili Bowl for me was kinda a bucket list thing for me to goto a race that Scotty Ernst is announcing, (been about 20 years in the making) I was also excite to meet other drivers/manufactures that we don't usually see on the west coast. Two of us drove from Oregon and made it an adventure. Sunday we stopped by the track and I actually got to meet Scotty and tell him how its been a long time dream of mine to be at a race he was announcing. My R/C Chili Bowl was complete and racing would just be a bonus. We left and went next door to the midgets. I will be honest, I only really follow T-Mez and Abacus Racing (a friend use to full size race with Johnny Cofer). I was under the impression that T-Mez was still down under. We was walking through the pits and I seen the Whitz midget. Lets just say that was the icing to my Chili Bowl cake and we haven't started racing
@davidbrinkmann183811 ай бұрын
Great info Chris. Scotty shows are memorable. Hope you make it back to the bowl in the future. Justin is an awesome guy. His passion for the hobby runs deep. Maybe we can all meet one day at Justin's soon to open Dark Horse RC Raceway in NC.
