My interpretations Sloth: Barbatos "He is a god who has given true freedom, in the cost of rejecting his godhood and letting his people do the work for him." Wrath: Beelzebub "She is a god who expects only for her people to obey her orders, as those who show resistance are met with dreadful consequences." Envy: Focalors "She is a god who is desperate to keep up to her people's expectations, one who wants her world to be like the others. Gluttony: Buer "She is a god who overindulges into her thirst for knowledge, causing her people to either only do the same or be doomed." Lust: The Tsaritsa "She is a god with no love and only desires to bring the world in her grasp, as the other nations fall under her passion." Greed: Morax "He is a god who wants nothing but an endless abundance of riches, with seemingly unbreakable contracts leading to a deathly path." Pride: Haborym "She is a god who harbors war over others, proving her worth to her people by showcasing her power and strength."

I just finished chapter 7 and 8, I found chapter 7 so funny (aside the fighting). I believe chapter 7 and 8 are very memorable cause we learnt plenty of things converning the plot. And yea I found Rafayel's cutscenes were verh badass even if I'm confused as to why he turned his back to Mc in chapter 7 and what did he exchange Mc for in chapter 8

I'd say that Gluttony probably fits Nahida better than Greed, as learning knowledge could be understood as "consuming" it.

Buer (the demon) is associated with qualities that are very much part of the virtue "Charity". So the opposite of charity is greed. Greed is about hoarding knowledge, which is what the Akademiya did and what Nahida herself did by exchanging 2 gnoses for more knowledge. On the other hand Gluttony is the compulsive consumption of something to the point it becomes unhealhty and that cannot be stopped. I have a shot video on tiktok/instagram where I talk about the Saurian Search event where Ranjit saiys that while in Natlan, although he was not hungry anymore he couldn't help to stuff himself with food more and more and more. And as said in the video, Pyro is associated with food and the Hindu god Agni who was a god that acted as a "conduct" for the offering to the gods, being related to food, the mouth, the stomach etc, after all, fire devours everything.

(coldy in the server here) your theory makes sense, but our twin isn't a descender though, according to nahida at the end of the sumeru archon quest. And we're in the fourth cycle now or half way through it, and i believe the third descender is nebilung and it makes sense why they use the gnosises to harbor the power of the dragon sovereigns he most likely ascended into a descender after obtaining all other elemental Dragons gave their authorities to him, so he can a will strong enough to rival Celestia and after he was defeated sustainer took over from primordial one destroyed khanriah then went to sleep for 500 years

Yes regarding our sibling not being a descender you are absolutely right but I've always thought that there was something weird about that. And regarding the battle pass, I've always felt like the sibling used to be a descender but something happened (corruption by forbidden knowledge or something) that made it possible for Irminsul to record. Additionally since Nibelung is FROM Teyvat, it wouldn't really make sense for him to be a descender as well

because most of these demons have different interpretations depending on which religion/myth you take them from. In the Goetia, Baal/Beelzebub is not associated with Gluttony at all.

Well, it's almost confirmed that the universe of Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail are both anchored on the Imaginary Tree, and various characters have counterparts in each universe (Raiden Shogun, Raiden Mei and Acheron, Luocha and Otto Apocalypse, Yae Sakura and Yae Miko, to name a few), so it is possible that they do have some kind of "connection", like being counterparts

This is my take on the topic. These are not the character flaws of the Archon's, but more so the themes surrounding them: Venti - Lust. A wonder lust for freedom. A passion for the arts. Zhongli - Wrath. Everyone in agreement on that. Raiden - Sloth. An eternal slumber. Left her work to be done by an autonomous puppet while she meditated. Her nation was in a state of stagnation. Nahida - Gluttony. A hunger for knowledge and wisdom. An academy that would consume all there is to know in the world. Furina - Envy. Agree with the reason in the video. Murata - Pride. Proud warriors and proud heritage. Confident in combat. Like a lion's pride. Inheritance and birth-right. Tsaritsa - Greed. Wanting absolute power. Gathering wealth, resources and weapons. Would seek to claim Teyvat and Celestia all for themselves.

That is an interesting take and close to my very first take on this, until I actually compared with the virtues and the themes surrounding both the Goetia demons and the Teyvat lore. It's actually hard to clearly attribute them only based on game lore and the Archons' personnality are very misleading considering that haha. Although I have one thing to say: I would probably never attribute Pride to Murata solely based on the fact that "Muratan" didn't even have an heritage, they forgot it all. But yeah :)

Well, wouldn't you rebel if it was to defend your loved ones? Cryo is also associated with Shiva, who is a feared god because he's destructive. But he's also considered a benevolent god and very family oriented :)

venti being sloth also makes sense bc he is known for slumbering for hundreds of years at times and leaving the people of mondstadt to fend for themselves which doesnt always end up well, like what happened with signora's lover. also what is that thing about venti being part of istaroth?

this is not true :') venti isnt like that at all. he fell asleep to heal from the battle he fought against durin with dvalin to protect mondstadt.. and when he woke up he was heartbroken with what was done to mondstadt by the lawrence clan so he immediately solved the issue by guiding vannessa and boosting her abilities. as for signora's lover it was his own doing, not venti's. and istaroth and venti both have some sort of connection and apparently used to rule together (seen in the time island quest + the saying of the wind being a seed of time) venti wants mondstadt to be free because he doesnt want to be like the previous tyrannic ruler decarabian, and in the archon quest venti was the one to help and save dvalin (with traveler's assistance), and he couldve done it from the very beginning if the traveler hadnt interrupted him with paimon.

Venti being part of Istaroth could also be from the fact that Istaroth is called "The Thousand Winds [of Time]" (Source : Byakuyakoku book 3) and Venti was "single thread of the thousand winds" (Source : Venti's character story 3)

Thats his definition of true freedom. He doesnt want to guide people and tell them how to live. He shows up when people of Mondstadt need his help to be free from the tyranny again. Its somewhat known in the game lore that Venti is somehow associated or related to god of time. Mondstadt used to worship two gods at some point. One was Venti the god of winds and there was also a god of time which we now know to be Istaroth. Very likely that Venti is Istaroth's child but atm its still a theory.

She alludes that "while the prophecy will come to pass, could you not view things from a perspective where people don't die?" This is also kinda the case with Arlecchino, where her perspective of the memory erasure being a type of execution that kills the self, allows her to follow House rules without killing people as Crucabena did.

@@Aryasvitkona Exactly yes! Imo Mage N simply told us that we really just had to play our part. "To change the fate of Teyvat... A god may have a slim chance, as for the rest... who knows" because Foçalor (god) actually needed both the dragon sovereign and us for her plan to succeed, and neither Neuvillette nor traveler are "gods"! And yest Arlecchino perfectly embodies that idea of perspective!
