Ho many bars should be on this ?? I got the same vaillant and one of the radiator is heating just on top littlebit, i check if got air and straight coming water what can be the reason?
@northwestgascertificates9 сағат бұрын
Pressure when it is cold should be between 1 and 1.5 and definitely no more than around 2.5 when hot. It could be that the radiator has a bit of sludge in the bottom of it especially if it is a ground floor radiator..?

Is there a way to swap just the top plate using a flathead ? I have just moved in to a place and the drain in the bath is worn and horrible looking. There's no issue with leaks its just the cover that has lost its silver. I also want to do my sink. How much would a plumber charge as a reasonable price to replace both ? Please could you let me know
@northwestgascertificates6 күн бұрын
I'm pretty sure you will have to buy the complete waste which includes the actual plug and threaded section that sticks out underneath the bath. If the top plate is exactly the same, then you should be able to just replace the top section. It probably wouldn't take much longer to replace the whole waste however and if you have to buy it all just for the top cover i personally would just change it all. If i was changing both i would probably charge £100 and i would change the whole lot....if you can find the top cover on its own, then give it a go. The bottom section under the bath will probably fall away however when you take the top cover off so just be careful there...good luck

@@604roger ive not got one for the heat exchanger im afraid. Flushing the whole system is quite straightforward however. Always open all of your radiator bleed valves when draining starting from top of house to bottom. Always add corrosion inhibitor before filling the system back up. @@northwestgascertificates it’s a rhino oil fired boiler and the boiler 14ltr expansion vessel is on the hot flow out which I believe has an adverse affect on longevity. @northwestgascertificatesАй бұрын
It is if you are set up for economy 7 with your electric supplier which is the cheap nighttime rate. However i have a cylinder and don't have economy 7 so it doesn't really matter. You will have to ask your supplier if you have economy 7.
@northwestgascertificatesАй бұрын
An Economy 7 meter can separate the electricity you use during the day and at night. Your electricity rate will be cheaper during the night. However, the flip side is that the price of your electricity during the day will be higher than a standard single rate tariff.
