Sorry, at 11:00, I attribute something to Joseph Campbell, when I actually meant Joseph Goldstein.

Ethics in social media. We could write book after book on it. Such a debacle.

I love big bro hue and I love gaming. Also Metaphor is a new IP and not a remake. It was Studio Zero's first game, it was founded by Persona 3-5's director/producer.

i sometimes wonder if my snarky nature is misinterpreted as having a bad attitude, but when I rid myself of it, another debacle comes into play of whether or not i'm being my true self. I imagine that more times than not it's viewed as childish, and at 30, that becomes confusing. is it a matter of having my same old coping skills being outdated and in turn being self-destructive? or is it a societal norm to professionally mask my true snarky self? I think in this case, to keep on keeping on while knowing that ignorance is bliss is paramount. I simply cannot think about it, because it will consume me, like many other things.

Im 36. For most of my 20's i thought it would be awesome to be a content creator or streamer. These days. Im so glad i neprofchaaed that dream. I work as a scrub tech at a hospital. The dunb shit i saw doesnt follow me. My work stays at work. When i clock out i can go work out and then come home and jam with some games. Yeah its like a 45-50 hour work week. But i get to define my work life balance and that is something these people who live their lives online do not get.

I got to the point where I had venues paying me near 1k a week to throw events up until covid happened (end of the month of my trial) and I took it as a sign to get a real job. I'm sitting in my house I own now making music for fun and its much better. Living a life where people know you in the street sucks ass as well. I got enough of a taste to know I'd rather not. Working, and having hobbies is the economic and mental best option. if the hobbies make money, awesome, but yeah

You're so right. I'm going through something similar rn. I quit a pretty good job at the start of the year to start this channel with my wife (plus another on my own). And even though we knew from the start this would take a long-term commitment and the growth would be slow, I already got to the point where I was curious to see what else is out there. I updated my LinkedIn and already I'm getting interviews for some amazing opportunities. Thankfully, the few months we did spend doing KZbin fulltime have allowed us to get into a flow where we feel we can work a job AND keep up a decent posting schedule. So even though I agree people shouldn't quit their jobs on a whim, for me, it paid off in a different way. So maybe DO quit your job, but only if you have some serious savings and you're confident you can get another job later.

Agreed! And that’s the safety net I referred to. Every has a different situation, so there’s a lot of nuance, but some people want it all right now and that’s just unrealistic.
@Manwhocares4u2 ай бұрын
There is no way. Most of life is pure luck. You can die any time or get a terminal illness anytime. Just do what makes you happy as long as your not hurting yourself or other just DO YOU
@houstonnn2 ай бұрын
While I agree life is too short, sometimes those short term happiness decisions are the exact thing that hold us back from long term, lasting happiness.
@Manwhocares4u2 ай бұрын
@houstonnn but that is the thing….. there is no such thing as long term happiness man. It’s all an illusion… learn to accept that concept now or forever be stuck with insurmountable dread in the future. Just live day by day and find things to be happy about.
