That is in fact a point as well, actually a rather big one as felix stated himself (not specifically for this match), but I just stated the most obvious one. And no, these aren't excuses. If you compare this match, or the matches lin shidong played in this tournament, to those of the last ones, and say he didn't play a lot worse, you are simply wrong. He didn't play his usual game at all, his backhand often missed which it normally does not, like never, and his forehand well it was rarely used. So you absolutely cannot say felix would've beaten lin shidong in a good condition. He would not have.

And you cannot disregard the fact that lin shidong played terribly when compared to the other tournaments he played. Felix didn't play better. Lin shidong played worse. It's funny how you always say that we are biased and only want to find excuses when you are literally disregarding facts. Felix lost to xiang peng at china smash. Does this now mean that xiang peng is better than him? No, probably not. And the same goes for lin shidong. Felix won against him once, and lin shidong already played badly over the entire tournament, and in this semi he played even worse. Does this mean felix is better? No, absolutely not. Felix is after all not the nr.2 in the world while lin is. Felix hit more nets, edges, and lin shidong didn't hit even his trademark shots.

Not correct. What you said he doesn't have is normally his strength. Today he had too many unforced errors. He didn't play a single flick that went on, which is his trademark shot, and he hit edge in a lot of rallies, or didn't hit the ball at all even though it was a relatively easy shot.
