What a gem and blast from the past! I was a freshman at ORU in the Spring of 1973. The entire student body, faculty and staff were the audience for the all-day taping of these Oral Robert's Specials. Just being in the audience was an education in the business of television performing Ralph Carmichae, the music director and arranger also conducted the great orchestra. I recognize the faces of the singers and the names of some including Carlton Pearson, Kathie Lee Epstein Gifford, and I believe, Stephanie Booshada. Richard Roberts had a very good voice and stage presence. I met him once and sad to say, he was distant and aloof. Whereas Oral Roberts (and Evelyn) were genuinely kind and personable. Memories of a time past.

The Oral Roberts family SCAPE GOATED Patti & pinned the divorce from Richard onto her. Oral & Evelyn Roberts have now gone out to meet God with that on their list of unrepented of sins! I met Patti (who sat in the row right in front of me) in 1989 at David Wilkerson's Times Square Church in New York City. We talked & I thanked her for writing the book.... Ashes To Gold. She was very gracious & very kind. I know that Patti is a genuine Christian woman! God bless her!
