Can u use universal guards on these clippers or magnetic guards if so what is your opinion

I actually bought the slime 2 for a friend that I was teaching how to cut hair. I used the slime 2 during my haircut demonstration, I wasn't expecting much out of it cuz it was so cheap at 35 bucks. Even though I have all the latest & greatest clippers from most brands, Wow, the slime 2 definitely exceeded my expectations so much so that I'm copn the new slime 2. Yes there are better clippers out there but it's just one of those clippers that you can't explain but gotta have.

I didn't like the XO blade that came with mine to put a silver JRL taper blade and this thing cuts amazing. It's got a different tone but is as quiet as a JRL and never bogs down one bit. I changed the cutter blade to a thin SC style one and it crunches like crazy too now I've got countless clippers and trimmers but this Troll with the custom blade combination has become my go-to now

Before I watch the video I knew Tpob it's going to be #1 🤷🏽‍♂️

I've been cutting hair on & off since 95'. I've used almost every clipper that's came out since & I can tell you without a doubt that the Play is the best clipper that's ever been made into existence thus far. I must also note, TPOB isn't my favorite brand so this is definitely not biased, just spitn facts. I'll put it up against any clipper & it won't even be a compilation. My current line up of favorite tools are the Play Clipper, S/C Flex Trimmer, & Andis reSURGE Shaver. And for anyone that wants to debate, if you haven't used any of these tools, I don't want to hear it.

I went to the Barber school here & let an “Experienced” student give me a high fade instead of the mid fade I requested. He got my front line/ vertical bars on 10, but the fade is waaaaaay to high for my head shape & the back looks like I had a 1/2 off coupon for Great Clips. Wait, What was I talking about……*

Never tried the play but I would choose that one over the others. JRL may have a unique appearance but I would rather cut half the cost. If I want even to cut down more I’ll get the Madeshow G9c. Babyliss are too basic and the only thing I like from them are the trimmers. Wahl is so outdated and the only thing good is the staggertooth cutting blade. Sponsored or not, the play seems to be the best bang for your buck.

*I just bought/used my TPOB Play for the 1st time & I have some thoughts:* 1. It’s Ridiculously Quiet. Only competition is Caliber .50 Mag Limited Edition 2. I like my click notches on the outside so when it starts to wear down, I can easily replace the metal/plastic groves. 3. The guards aren’t the greatest, but for the price it’s an EXCELLENT deal. 4. I’m not sure about the “Oil Reservoirs” bc I use H42, Cool Care, 5 in 1, etc to clean my clipper blades. How do I know the oil reservoir isn’t getting filled with THOSE cleaners instead of the actual OIL I put on Afterwards?! 5. All in All, I give this Clipper a 9.5/10. My previous most used clippers were the Caliber .50 Mag (Lmtd Edition), SC Rebel, Hawk Edition FX, Oster FastFeed w/ Ceramic blade, Oster Octane w/ Detachable Blades & Wahl 5 Star Seniors. 6. *God has blessed me with the ability to fade to the point I can do it myself & I pray u will come to know Him as your Lord & Savior!
