Agree the schedule is way too long. Another thing to consider is that teams can only start camp 14 days before their first game - when some teams’ first game is in Week 3, you got teams playing their first game before some teams PRACTICE together for the first time. Just doesn’t seem fair across the board. Love the idea of 2 bye weeks for teams, but gotta get the season in the books by end of July

Comment here on scheduling. I agree that it's a long season haha. I would love for the season to end (end of June) then have playoffs and championship in July. Would also love for constant scheduling Strike Force have played a bunch of different days and times this season. I know that is up to venue but having a more constant schedule would help the league.

Was at the Barnstormers game last night. Kyle wasn't playing assuming he is injured. Was fun to be in attendance for the 2 wins they got! Appreciate you putting out this great podcast. Not alot of info about indoor football between games. Thank you.

Man I thought Blip and Glitch were seeded too HIGH. I wouldn't have given either of them a top 10 seed.

It is so comforting to hear I'm not the only one who thought Ribbot was over-seeded. No disrespect to them, Ribbot has come a long way from the foam frog of seasons past, but their three wins were a Rookie in Defender, Overhaul, who despite being a veteran has never been impressive with a collective 2-10 record prior to this season, and P1 who's only just starting to make their mark. Ribbot earned their 3-0, but their strength of schedule definitely didn't scream #2 seed for me. Yet another thing that a third fight for Whiplash/Hypershock/Uppercut/Copperhead/Rotator/etc would've remedied.

honestly, i would seed Sawblae number 2 seed, their first two fights were just so impressive, losing without showing what you can do isn't enough to rank it any lower

I love Will, and I love Hypershock, but I'm into the competition more than the spectacle. Every time he says Battlebots is entertainment first, I wince (I'm not saying he's wrong, but it's not how *I* see it.)

I would seed Sawblaze above Ribbot, I don't care that Ribbot has more wins, it's fights weren't impressive enough to get a higher seed than Sawblaze.

I personally think a 0-3 bot could squeak into the 32 if all of their losses were close decisions against highly-seeded bots, especially if one or more were split decisions and/or the opponents they faced went 3-0 with the other wins by KO.

Agree on missing rumbles! I admit I didn't like when they used them for Seeding Purposes in S3-S4, but when they're just for fun and glory, they're a blast to watch.

I was really hoping Jen would address the reason for the controversy of HiJinx vs. Kraken; they really didn't have any controlled movement once they got flipped. We can talk damage all day long, but when the damage was caused because of Kraken initiating engagements by nature of being a Control/Grapple/Crusher bot, it feels like the rules inherently create a disadvantage to non-spinning weapons. If Kraken doesn't engage and just leaves HiJinx flailing on their head, it loses aggression points. If it does engage as it did, it receives incidental damage since it has to make contact with the weapon to grapple/crush, which apparently also cost it aggression points too based on Judge Lisa's scoring. I honestly agreed with Matt's assessment during the fight, you could hear him calling for a countdown because they weren't showing any kind of controlled movement, but when it didn't come, they were forced into what felt like a no-win situation because of the aforementioned aggression/damage paradox.

I believe the difference between Shatter's forks and Hydra's rack was that forks enabled Shatter to do damage and prevented Blacksmith from doing it while the rack prevented both bots to do anything. I still think the rack was brilliant.

I understand the safety reasons why the upper deck was created but, it takes away from the show. I think battlebots should shrink down the depth of it. Change it into an automatic elevated floor flipper. At least then, something exciting would happen when a robot is up there. Vertical spinners seem to be the only type of robot benefitting from the way the upper deck is now. They already had an advantage.
