It’s not called “Alice in Wonderland”. Get the title right.

For being 100 years old the story line is actually good! I also liked the way you get to see life in 1924 from the many scenes both outside while driving and some of the interior fixtures. My grandfathers house had many of the items shown in the films furniture, makes my think of all the stuff we threw away and would now be classic stuff. Who knew! Thanks for posting and this is the only silent film I've watched from start to finish.

There's an interview in Photoplay around this time where he ponders how long his comedy will last. Over a hundred years later it still stands up.

A fantastic film, now 109 years old and the quality of acting was superb. The only negative aspect were some of the electronic sounds used in the musical accompaniment as those are not in keeping with the time the film was made. Overall, a very enjoyable story.

in reality why would anyone keep charlie chaplin as a janitor who is kicking at fellow janitor, swaying wet broom at bank officials each and every minute he is doing mischief.....any logical person would kick him out of the job...than why is he still there...thats why i say this charlie chaplin movies are just fictional not based on reality...no one in real life does like this and no employer would keep a foolish employee like him ...he is doing too much over acting for comedy..i dont feel any comedy just cheap stunts......i dont see any legend like things in him.......

Bro, first of all. Films are made for entertainment purposes only which has nothing to do with real life , or to be acted in real. Films are only successful and rememberable, if that is more fiction. If i say about Titanic movie, which is one of the successful film and remembered till today, only the concept of Titanic was real , story line was fictional, but people loved and remembering today this is happening because that was pure fiction, means which was not happened before, if you are thing that jack and rose was real, then you are one of the stupid person in the world. Hope you get cleared.

I think the "modern versus silent" films argument misses the point that what counts is just a simple box. The one where you drop your ticket stub!
@obertstephenjr7 ай бұрын
I slightly disagree. I think there was plenty of fantasy in Keaton, Chaplin, Harold Lloyd or Laurel and Hardy!

Was für ein schöner Film. Charly ist immer noch der beste Komiker....und in Farbe wirkt der Film authentisch, äußerst interessant und überaus bemerkenswert. Tausend Dank für dieses schöne Stück Filmgeschichte!
