Alot of what you are saying about wanting to feel good making again is very easy to resonate with. I'm just getting into ceramics and wanted to find other people online who weren't career youtubers, just artists. Thanks for posting, subscribed
@meleveryday7 күн бұрын
Yes! So glad it resonated. Thank you Luke. I am also trying to figure out how I want to talk about art on here/start a dialogue with other artists. Don't want it to be about me, just the lifestyle and attempt of making art in this world.
@Luke_Petit7 күн бұрын
@meleveryday yes- I think that’s a very pure way to approach it. I find myself trying to walk a line between wanting people to see what I’m doing, thus trying to make watchable videos, but also trying not to fall into being an entertainer over a creator for the sake of engagement. The balance between trying to be open and real while not making it about me is a real one too. I just hope to find/make a community of interested and interesting people yknow.
@meleveryday6 күн бұрын
@@Luke_Petit I totally agree :) It's ok for it to be about us sometimes too if it feels right! Trying to let it all exist together.

Can you explain what you were doing with your mugs on the table with the water? Thanks
@meleveryday3 ай бұрын
@@debifoster5386 totally! I use the canvas tabletop with water to make the top of my mugs flat. It really helps to create a clean look on any vessel! And then usually I take a sponge to it afterwards to remove any excess clay/water. It’s best to do this on bone dry clay!
