I once worked with a fellow in a fairly open area, with several different people. He was contracted. A nice enough guy. The smell...it was like vinegar. It got into my nose so much that I could smell him all the time. At work, at home, I'd go to bed and wake up, and I could still smell him. This got to our supervisor, who contacted his contractor about it. On occasion, I would be working last with him in the office after everyone else left. As I could no longer tolerate that smell being "in" my nostrils, I gently asked him about it. He said he was very aware of it. His contractor told him about it. He said he'd go into the bathroom and use deodorant constantly throughout the day, and it wasn't helping. It was actually making it worse. I said okay. I told him I'd see if I could find out anything for him, because he was a nice guy, and was trying. I had a medical cd at home, and found something out about it. I can't remember what it was, but there was an ingrediant in certain deodorants that prevented his exact issue. I came in and discreetly mentioned to him to look for deodorants with that ingrediant. That was his exact issue. Once he started using deodorant with that ingrediant, his problem vanished. He thanked me, and the problems in the office were over.
