this place may have changed, but when i was there back in 1984, there was no treatment, it was pretty much a glorified day care. there was no therapy sessions nothing.

I will never forget Megan! She was a great friend and support to me on Outward Bound. I was crushed when I heard about her death from falling. She was so much fun to be with and we all loved her. She will be forever in our hearts and memories. Uli

Hopefully there will be some room for mixed use/commercial zoning. The neighbourhood could definitely use a grocery store which would certainly increase accessibility for many of the affordable housing demographic

A great panel with a wide perspective on environmental issues and how to address them. Congratulations LCF. I'm looking forward to seeing the environmental issues being discussed in relationship to the other six priority areas: Racial Equality, Gender Equality, Housing, Education, Well-being and Food Security.

this entire project is an obvious no-go for anybody living near it.,. the absolute arrogance of the London Community Foundation is hugely problematic to property owners in the community... it is time we stop pretending that people living in tents are a solution you just dump into SOHO. it is incredibly evident that London Community Foundation is driven by ideology that is devoid of the socio-economic realities of the people they are claiming to help. no one who has gone through the details of this project could possibly think this is a good idea

Hi David, We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. The goal of the Vision SoHo project is to create a housing development that prioritizes sustainability and livability through beautifully designed, environmentally friendly, mixed income (market & affordable rate) housing that will honour and celebrate the rich history of the Old Victoria Hospital Lands. It is our hope that Vision SoHo will help make housing more accessible to those our community who need it most. We have hosted a couple community consultation sessions to invite feedback from SoHo residents to ensure that local residents had a chance to share their input on the proposed direction. We’d be happy to chat with you about your questions and concerns. Please feel free to reach out to [email protected]

This is a lovely organization. They have my full support as a Londoner. We need more compassion in our society and the sisters are a shining example of difference makers without expectation of an award. They just do because it’s the right thing.

It would be helpful if there was some accompanying commentary, to make it easier to understand what exactly you're looking at. I was simply trying to orient this to existing streets, but didn't actually figure it out.

this is a hard no on this entire project it is poorly thought out it is a terrible idea by and large. you may like it but the people who actually live here and pay taxes are less than thrilled. the entire premise of this project is bound to make this one of Canada's most dangerous slums.

The soup kitchen a nurturing and non judgmental place, my grandpa volunteered here after he retired from GM. He was a factory fire fighter ... a helper. Happy to serve the less fortunate, his church, God and his community. God Bless you all !

This is really informative! I did not really I could RSP money and use the charitable contribution to offset the redemption taxes. The information on life insurance as a way for making a future was also enlightening! Thanks LFC for all the work you do to help sectors in need, and make London a better place to live!

There is nothing game-changing to this initiative. Evidence suggests that the need for service is driven by poverty and food insecurity. This addresses neither of those factors.

I was there as well. Made me worse. A gauntlet of bad behaved children ranging from bad to worse, coupled by teenaged peer pressure and the will to survive amongst them. Recipe for disaster. Take you children to church. In jesus day, there was a man whi ran around naked, lived in a cemetary, and could not be restained. He cut himself with stones. When jesus came, Jesus delivered him from the demonic oppression he was under. Todays "doctors" would call this man a paranoid schizophrenic, and have him shipped to a pysch ward, aka CPRI. Jesus changed my life. Im sober, finished college, and am a healthy, vibrant, strong man. glory to GOD, through his son jesus. Get right with god.
