The worst feature of any soulsborne game is that we can't pet the docile animals specially the cat in DS2

The unspoken truth is that DaS2 is terrible. It is an awful waste of money and a depressing waste of time.

I’ll never forget playing Elden ring for the first time. It’s a memory I’ll never ever forget and it’s now my favourite game ever and I’m obsessed with the lore

Hilariously enough, if this was redone after Shadow of the Erdtree I can't imagine a single boss even remotely touching SotE's final boss, lol. Also, I don't think Malenia without waterfowl would even crack top 10, everything else in her kit is extremely manageable...

Agree that curse rotted greatwood is an annoying boss. i have started to skip it and go back to it later just to make the fight shorter :D. most runs i dont need much from boss souls anyway. maybe havels ring

I’ll actually defend the adaptability stat on DS2 because after DS2 they basically throw away the whole concept of light rolling in general. That stat added a lot to how you want to build yourself. Do you want to have high dodge, well you’re going to give up wearing heavy armor and vice versa. DS3 and Elden Ring, light rolling or light weight doesn’t exist anymore. Yeah someone will say you can roll like half a inch further, but even DS2 did it better with rolling distance depending on your weight. I think people hate on adaptability because it is a bit of a pain early on.

guardian ape is a great shoutout - the headless are definitely more panic inducing but the ape getting up just hits that dread note perfectly - not to mention the fight is fkn hard

There's a location in every game where once you get there, your jaw drops: Dark Souls 1 - Anor Londo Dark Souls 2 - Brume Tower Dark Souls 3 - Ringed City Bloodborne - Hunter's Nightmare Sekiro - Fountainhead Palace Elden Ring - Leyndell

I started in elden ring and im playing through ds3 rn after 400+ hours in elden ring. The thing that attracted me was the polish and build verity. It looked so cool when i watched youtubers play it. And i only started playing a few months b4 the dlc aswell. So after i finally finished the base game on ng+2 and had a build i liked, the dlc came out and it made it so much better. Elden ring will be my number one game and ds3 at the moment is a top 2-3 spot as im enjoying it atm. Cant wait to chew into the ds3 dlc as its currently on sale

38:32 the "water spike balls" attack Firth uses here is actually another adaptation you can get your hands on for yourself, the Urchin Toss. You get it by trying to give the sad urchin NPC in New Carcina a hug like... 15 times. It's genuinely a really good ability, on par with the Mantis Punch in terms of damage if aimed properly

wolnirs right hand should be hit first. this way you get to kill the hardest hand before the fog goes too far. wait too long and it seems like his right hand is sitting INSIDE the fog.

You really should pick up the DLCs if you have the extra cash to spend, they are really fun! I picked up the complete edition of Nioh 1 and Nioh 2 last year for $12 each on PC...I wish I had found these game sooner because they are amazing! They have a very specific vibe that is hard to describe...I ended up putting in about 600 hours between them, and I still get the urge to go back for more!

The thing about Logarius is he’s almost like a hybrid between a hunter and monster fighting style and that’s what sometimes makes him difficult to fight against because you have to really strategize how you will fight him

You say that the only way to take down the Storm king was with the Storm Ruler, but I didn't realize that sword was there my first playthrough until the fight was over. I beat it by slowly pelting it with arrows. Bad time, would not recommend.

The obtuse hidden endings and bossfights are a staple of jRPGs, with many games having super bosses with next to 0 hints on how to unlock them, usually only the more traditional turn based final fantasy style ones, but it's not uncommon to have entire game sections hidden behind obtuse side quests and mechanics And while i dont mind reused bossfights i do agree elden ring leans into "too many" with some of them

Fun fact about isshin and lightning. He cannot us the lightning of Tomoe by the lore. Meaning that the man literally predicts where it will strike, leaps in the air, and catches it to hit you with it.

Dark Souls 1 got me with the dlc, I had to do all of it alone, no one was available to help, so I gritted it out and cemented the legend all alone. DS2 is special to me despite its flaws, and fragging it out with the Burnt Ivory King and his chaos knights with my own posse stands out as one dang fun time! DS3, the easy choice is Soul of Cinder, Anor Londo, Friede, Gael or Midir, but I think going through Archdragon Peak is one of my best moments. Sekiro is Sword Saint, but Divine Dragon is a close second Bloodborne is just getting lost in the Moon Presence music. I love the Gothic, harrowing tunes in this game brought low by the grand, terrible power that comes. Elden Ring isnt finished yet for me, i just started the DLC. Im coming for you Radahn! Special mention to Armored Core 6, I beat Balteus first try. I still feel like a King remembering it! Great vid!

For Bloodborne, Yahar'Gul came to mind before anything else. I just love how you've been to the Hypogean Gaol, but this time it's all different and this is about where the game starts to really veer into the eldritch themes it's so well known for. All the Amygdalas loitering on the buildings and how the area again feels different depending on your insight level. The skirmish with the 3 hunters in the cathedral is also great fun, as is luring the bone clump enemies into those bonfire things and making them burn themselves. The scenery and architecture in that part all looks so foreboding and ominous and intimidating as well. For DS3 that's tough. personally either the nameless king fight, or Yhorm's fight (i just love how BEEEG he is haha) Elden Ring? I think probably gaining entry into Lleyendel or the Haligtree. Or Faram Azula.. there's just so many cool visual spectacles in that game haha. DS1 haven't finished yet DS2 haven't played it yet Sekiro haven't played it yet Demon's Souls haven't played it yet.

Hey can I request a video? I was playing DS2 earlier today, the fire DLC, and I just realized how difficult going from 1 bonfire to another was, so can you do a video on hardest areas between bonfires, or hardest bonfire to bonfire runs? Thanks!

This may be late now but Tarnished Archeologist has a good explanation of the teleporting pool. Basically it mixes Victorian Science and ancient beliefs of mirrors being windows to new dimensions. Check him out if you haven't. He's amazing. 14:30
