Definitely NOT the place for a nuclear waste dump!

That was very disappointing until the economist began talking about changing "bad policy" but then refused to mention any in real terms. Which was again disappointing. To some degree she was obviously meaning local government as well as state government. At the same time 'resource managers' refuse to have effective input before bad developments take place (or bad policies take effect) and then also after, so nothing is ever learned by anyone. None of you ever seem willing to 'rock the boat' about anything.

I have read and researched Elizabeth for many years. The more I read the more angry I got. My heart went out to her and after reading her story .I had made up my that Elizabeth was inoccent. I felt so sad for her and the way she was treated right from a very young age. Many years later I visited the Old Adelaide Gaol and joined a tour around the Gaol. The tour guide told us the stories of many but when Elizabeth name came up my ears pricked up. I listened and as I had made up my mind Elizabeth was inoccent I told this to the guide who nearly jumped down my throat saying" she was quilty" Otherwise she would not have been hung for what she did. I didn't say anything because the tour guide was very sharp and I didn't want to ruffle her feathers any more least she hung me... Years later I was back in Moonta and wandering around the town when I came across the library. Near the door was a man selling books and so I investigated . He told me the story about Elizabeth and went on further to say that they had another court hearing. There was a judge, prosecutors, defence lawyer, jury. It was all done as a new full trial. When I heard the results from the trial, Elizabeth was inoccent, I was so excited because I new Elizabeth was Innocent right from the start. I felt so happy for her but sad at the same time. The life she lead was awful. I really don't know how anyone could go through so much pain in one life and survive it. It was just not fair.. The man she married was evil and so if she did kill him, which she did not, I wouldn't blame her one bit. No one should live in fear every day of their lives ,no one. Elizabeth bless you and be at peace always . I feel sorry you went through so much crap and didn't enjoy your time on earth but you are free now . Go in peace for no one can ever hurt you again. I read your story many years ago and my heart went out to you but I new you were innocent from the first word I read. Love you Elizabeth .....You are very special person. From Sharon.......

Hi Sharon I to believe that Elizabeth was innocent and I'm so glad you really looked into it may I ask what tour group you went with through the adelaide gaol with if you can remember

Alas, Skye I don't remember the group. My husband and I just joined in and walked through the jail . When the tour guide had a go at me I just said (read between the lines) that annoyed the guide. Ok I thought I was going to be hung LOL. I to grew up in a similar situation so for me it was easy to read between the lines. PEACE ELIZABETH PEACE. SHARON ZSCHORN S.A.
